So this card is identical to DirectCU II?
The cooler atleast look like it and i can only see some small "gaming" and overclocking features differ them.

Only the cooler is about the same, Matrix has 16 PWM phases instead of 8 and also comes with the interesting overclocking features (realtime voltages adjustment via buttons etc).

Maybe binned chips ... and prepared for extreme OC ? I don't think for a daily basis the Matrix will be much better than a good DCU2 ...

    That cooler looks mighty, literately.
Why everybody has waited this long to come up with "exotic" 580s? GB is showing a 580 SOC too. I guess nVidia didn't let them before.

I tested today 2 pcs MATRIX GTX580 and with 1.2v the 3D Mark Vantage GPU frequencies were 950MHz for the first card and 965MHz for the second one. Not great considering my Lightning did 990MHz and the DirectCU II did 975MHz...

The batch of GPUs of these MATRIX must be bad because I heard that some other cards did 1000MHz easily, so it's all about luck in the end!

For those interested, detailed pictures with the card you can find here

"Bad"? Nope. What you're hitting seems to be the norm for the Matrix.

Considering what the Lightning, SOC and DirectCU II did, it is bad...

You have the card? You tried some OC?
