    PHII 965 - 6.7GHz LN2

Well it had been a month since I benched anything, but I was right back at it today!

Killed a motherboard in the process unfortuanetly, RIP to my 990FXA-UD3, it was replaced with a M4A88TD-EVO/USB3 for most of this session (only validation was on UD3) which did a fine job despite a 1.8vcore limit. I was also only able to bench with one stick of ram with this CPU, have no idea what the deal was there but I tested three kits of ram and two different boards and it would only go with one stick.

CPU-Z Validation - My highest to date (Getting closer and close to that magic 7GHz )

    SuperPi 1M

    Super Pi 32M

    PiFast

    wPrime 32M

    wPrime 1024M

    Loving my new bench setup

That is indeed a kayl pot you can see. I'm not sure what exact revision it is, but it wasn't his latest and was the last one he had around. I'll attach a snap of it below.

Thanks man, I haven't RMA'd or anything yet, I still want to test it and give it another chance on ambient cooling and see what happens.

Thanks! My best time before that was 11.0 with a 555, was very happy to get into the 10s area.

Oh? Will definitely have to give this a shot, loved benching with the M4A88 and my only gripe was the vcore limit. Thanks Dinos!

Upload kept failing so I just hotlinked to the image:

ah yeah it's one of the ones with lots of small holes at the bottom. It should be pretty decent for what you want to do here

UD3 might have just had RAM slots wet and started playing up, pretty common with AMD to have the whole area around the CPU socket wet at some point.

how are you insulating the board/boards?
