    G.Skill Ripjaws X F3-10666CL7D-8GBXH gets tested

My friend is in process of building his system. He's so nice to let me take this kit few days for testing

    Test system:

    Intel Core i5 2500K @ 4.6GHz 1.300V
Cogage TRUE Spirit with dual fan configuration
    Asus P8P67 BIOS 1204
    G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3-1333 7-7-7-21 1.5V 2x4GB

    Few pics of the memory

    DDR3-1333 7-7-7-21 1.5V

    DDR3-1333 6-7-6-21 1.5V

    DDR3-1600 7-8-7-24 1.675V
Yes, it's not good at DDR-1600, needs 1.675V

    DDR3-1866 8-10-8-27 1.65V

No clue why CPU-Z showed 8-10-9-27, MaxxMEM showed correct info

    DDR3-2133 9-11-9-27 1.65V

    DDR3-2200 9-11-10-27 1.65V

    DDR3-2250 9-12-10-27 1.675V

Final result because BCLK almost reaches the limitation

My verdict: this kit clocks very well, considering it's 8GB kit and low rated speed

Very impressive. I have 3 kits on my X58 rig and they can run 8-8-8-24 1T with 1600MHz and 1.5V.
    I think they are the same sticks as the Gskill 8-8-8 1600 1.5V (F3-12800CL8D-8GBXM) and the 7-8-7 1600 1.6V (F3-12800CL7D-8GBXH)

how high do you need to set VTT to reach such speeds?
Do you know which chips are under the hood? Hynix?
    THe results are very impressive

Well I spoke a little too fast. Memtest ended failing up with 1600MHz 8-8-8-24 1T at 1.5V. I manage to get it to work with 1866MHz 9-11-9-27 at 1.65V so far but trying at 1920 failed. The chips are Hynix. VTT set at 1.325V

better than my Ripjaws x 1600 CL9. cant even OC them to 1630.... shouldn't I be able to at least run them at 1700 with a small voltage bump without messing with the timings??

    What´s "OP" ?

Mine dont do 9-11-9-27 , to get 2240 i need to give more volts, 1,7v, with 9-12-11-27.

:P need to try some sub timings .

9-11-10 with 1.65v@ 2200MHz is impressive for a 1333 rated kit... his are probably one of the better kits floating around... i had 1333 gskill before.. they were cas 8 though... didn't even do 2133 stably
