    Soundcard for laptops, help

Guys, I am going to buy a new laptop in April, I want to spice up the sound a little, no way onboard can power up my headphones...

Which is best choice I can get?
    I got some 64Ohm Sennheiser HD280 Pro.

    Hope for some advice
    Cheers

Yamaha makes some external solutions, or you can go with Terratec. The DMX 6fire is my top pick for external audio. http://www.terratec.net/en/products/sound/usb.html

I'd get a nice little tube amp with USB input.

Nothing that will be amped to drive your headphones good enough.

Buy a portable headphone amplifier or you can make your own

Because the resistance is so high in your headphones, no wonder it's a problem getting good sound =-p Though seriously, get an amplifier kit, they are pretty cool and is exactly what you need. One of those X-fi cards wont do anything, and they are more of a gimmick than actually doing anything useful.

64 Ohm isn't really all that high...

You may want to sell your 280 Pro's for something like an Audio-Technica ATH-M50 though.

Couldn't tell you because they look to be custom kits. I'd try to read around for reviews, otherwise your best guess is as good as ours. If you get a prebuilt system there's a high likelihood of finding reviews about them.
