If he's been AWOL this long, this means he has a new toy being worked on. Must be really big if it's been a week. Sure we will hear about it when he comes out from the basement (beard down to his knees, eyes bulging out with a crap eating grin saying,"IT'S ALIVE, IT'S ALIVE)!

10 core Westmeres are to blame, I'm sure!

I would like to replace my 2.66 quads for these 10 core monsters. The price is probably enormous.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm so then does this mean that we have to lure him back out with the 8 socket server board for the westmeres?

Ten core Westmere CPUs in an 8P motherboard = 160 threads in one machine. I hope that wasn't too much excitement for him

I have a high end AMD chip. Six cores. It'll take 27 of them to equal the number of threads of an 8p/80c/160t machine. WOW

I hope he is doing OK, and will be back again, soon.

A 10-Core Westmeres can't keep him way this long, probably found a young girl, LOL.

Looking at the prices for at 3.33 6 core westmere on newegg @ $1700 a piece, would suspect these 10 core chips would be about $3000 a piece. Anyone know for sure?

I'm guessing that a full 8p/80c/160t system would leave little to no change from $50k

most probable thing is the young girl, not even a 160thread sys could keep him away from us for that long. xs is xtremely addictive, remember?!

you know he has to be begging intel for a bios with overclocking options if he has one.

hes more than likely threatening world war 3 on intel if they don't give it to him LOL
