Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

Nice preview, now like already mentioned you only need to master real excel tweaking skillz

anyway... would love a tweaked 32M comparation with same tweaks at say 4Ghz

Charts look too funny to be true. You have the excel skills to make it in the world of marketing .

Board's looking good - digging the buttons and additional peg. Didn't not love the Dino at the end. Will be interesting to see what others can produce with this board.

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

What has world come to, you got Idiots benching 32m with shiny new 580GTX's perfectly centered in the shot like it had anything to with the results and now excell noobs and biased excell charts.

The end is near folks, very near.

Seriously though, nice testing James even though your charts have reached the depths of space even NASA has yet to explore.

Haha oh man, I don't know whether to hide and apologize or lmao off for creating that mankini pic of you...... in my defense I had had a few beers by that time of the afternoon

Nice review and that board is looking very nice. Does it have a full digital PWM or adjustable freq analogue?

Its the ISL controller - analogue. Also why it needs dip switches unless a GPIO is used to give software control via BIOS. On-the-fly switching freq adjustment isn't really of any use for OC, you just set what you need and let rip.

How do they help during initial testing - are you hampered by switching frequency for POST?

so what we should just run at maximum switching frequency at all times? lol

You could just change in software if the board had a GPIO lol

I guess my point is that it doesn't help OC to have it on-the-fly, hopefully it won't be marketed in a way that it becomes another urban myth that on-the-fly switching frequency control gives the ability to reach clock speeds that were unobtainable before its inception. The OC buttons I understand perfectly, just wondering why the switch freq was done on a switch unless at the behest of costing or someone thinking it would extend some kind of clocking margin somehow. It certainly doesn't save any appreciable time over flicking it on when you go into BIOS to set all the RAM timings you need to. I guess it comes down to what you think is cool after all.

it saves a reboot tho, such as you are OCing in windows and you are using OC touch, and you start at 6ghz and at something like 800khz so you want to boost upto 7ghz without rebooting, so you can easily switch it. The whole purpose is that this board is able to OC with hardware 100%. plus to quote your friend OCer like buttons.
