Actually, there is a mini-ITX version: the ASUS E35M1-I Deluxe.
It looks fantastic: passive cooling, 5 SATA + 1 eSATA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB3 and SATA6. I pre-ordered it (in France), if all goes well, it should be serving files and downloading 24/7 within 2 weeks...
Yeah i seen that mobo looks quite good, Cant find any info on the audio though, does it support full dolby digital + DTS ??
Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?
All I could find on the product page is:
I don't know if that qualifies as proper DTS decoding capability.ALC892 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC
Supports DTS Surround Sensation Ultra-PC
* Use a chassis with HD audio module in the front panel to support an 8-channel audio output.
Hmm hopefully a review should be released soon, And hope it supports dolby.. as it's my main need for a htpc..

ah maybe that's the reason why it seems more sluggish if the CPU tasks had lower performance than atom. which specific slides did you get this test info? when i open any programs, like firefox, or word/excel, it launches up noticeably slower than my atom D525 platform
lol if you didnt notice, that one and only review so far of this board is my review
i was using the newest 10.2 flash version, still had unbearable youtube lag
@WhiteFireDragon
I don't know about the other motherboards, but reviews for the ASUS E35M1-I are coming, though slowly :

Any word on zacate nettop configurations? ie. Revo form factor?
Laptop
well i finally found out the reason for the sluggishness and youtube stuttering. the problem lies in the OS and or drivers. in my WHS box (which is based off of XP 32bit server 2003), everything was laggy and youtube stuttered. i reinstalled everything with win7 64bit and everything was butter smooth, including 1080p full screen youtube videos. so i think the problem is driver maturity/support, unless anyone else has a solution for this?
Yeah thats what i thought but i swear my 3d plasma tv supports 1080@60hz..

360p is all I will get out of my Atom netbook
stupid intel GMA...
Smile
Did you see TechReports review? They showed a much different story
Maybe is is IE9 that makes the difference and the Special 10.2 flash... not sure.

Edit: Overall, the Zacate out performed the Atom D525 in that review.

The source content will be at 24hz, and your TV should automatically switch into 24hz, or else you would need 3:2 pulldown det. or something strange.
There are software, like MPCHC which will adjust the screen refresh rate to 24Hz when you watch a movie that's 24FPS.
Otherwise it works just as on any PC, at 60Hz.
The problem the review mentioned was a very specific format where the video itself was 60FPS.
All of the common content like 1080P BluRays and other H264 content play fine, even 1080i@60FPS played fine.
I suggest you reread the review a bit more carefully and you'll see that the only problematic format which they found was negligible.

ASUS one is ITX too
They have MSI , Gigabyte , ASUS , ASRock ITX in stock now at local store in Hong Kong
Reference pricing , all unit in HK Dollar ( 1 USD = HKD $7.78 )
E-350 ITX board
ASUS ITX ( Fanless ) - $ 1530
Gigabyte - $ 1330
MSI - $ 1290
ASRock - $ 899
ASRock E-350 is the cheapest one , but without USB 3.0
Gigabyte / MSI / ASUS got USB 3.0
So it depends on if you really need USB 3.0
Personally I would like to grab Gigabyte one
Well I switch back to nVIDIA after lack of stable driver support with my HD6870 with Windows XP ( Tried 10.10 Hotfix , 10.12 not work , BSoD when playback YouTube HD , blocky screen when scrolling the browser )
After I switched to GTX560 Ti , WinXP work normally without issue
