Tested a ES X5687 chip today for the first time.
Got some decent scores and had fun.
Here's the setup:
UD9 and R3E boards
GTX 580 and 3870X2 graphics cards
Mushkin Redline 2000C8 ram
Kingpin Gemni pot tried both bases
Antec 1200w PSU
~35L of LN2
First started with UD9 board and slower base.
Found CB to be -181oC and it ran up to 6.1ghz Wprime32M and 5.93ghz Wprime1024M with under 1.9v. Wouldn't run full pot.
Next unmounted pot and CPU and changed motherboards and bases.
Running on R3E and with Rocket base it had a CB of -114oC with 2c2t, but no CB with all the cylinders running.
Full pot on my probe was -186oC.
Scaled slightly from 1.8v to 1.9v and was barely able to grab a 6060mhz 32M run but did after a few attempts and restarts.
Wprime 1024M on the R3E didn't scale to 1.9v like 32M and also didn't do 4.93ghz like on UD9.
Had issues with 3870X2's first core resetting to stock clocks running 3dmark05 and AM3 wouldn't show the score at the end of each run, only a black screen.
My lucky day.
Anyway still got some decent results!
This run is just a straight run in Vista to see if the CPU would run 32M at those clocks and uncore.
Here's one of the weird 3870X2 runs. You can see the 1st GPU core is running stock clocks after bench.
Here is the normal run with both 3870X2 cores overclocked:
Now.....
What you've been waiting for.....
FROSTY PICS!
Enjoy.
