    Well it is almost without a doubt a possibility that they know more than we know about Bulldozer. Like JF-AMD said in multiple forums and I think even here AM3 and AM3+ are not the same sockets by one pin. He works for AMD, where as ASUS, Gigabyte and MSI do not. they are just business partners. I have a tendency to listen to AMD before the rest on this one.

    Thanks fella - pin wise it should fit, i'm gathering from your post.

    As long as the CHIV is good to go with first iteration of BD that'll be good enough for me :>

    In case anyone owns the 890FXA-GD70 or GD65, the AM3+ supporting BIOS files are on the MSI site now.

    Update a while ago...

    There is a BIG BUG.

    The 1st and 4th PCI-E slots that should work as 16x/x16
    work just at 8x/2x...

    Hmm weird, I check daily and didn't see it posted until today.

    Not experiencing the bug you're mentioning on the 890FXA-GD70 1.9 BIOS. My 1 and 5 are both reporting x16.

    I got the 1.91, 1.92 and 1.93.

    The 1.93 runs fine...

    The problem is, that not all 890FXA-GD70 are the same revision (see the stickers by the RAM slots, the small round stickers you have 3 of theme there neer the socket).

    With 1.91, 1.92 and 1.93 the PCI-E is runing fine, and i can still OC great.

    If You want, i can upload the BIOS files.

    EDIT:
    A7640AMS.180 ---> A7640AMS.191

    - Fixed set "AMD Cool'n'Quiet" disable and "AMD Turbo Core Technology" enable the same time it will reset some times at D1.

    A7640AMS.191 ---> A7640AMS.192

    - Update Agesa module to support AM3+ CPU.
    - Set CPU phase default disable.
    - Fixed led abnormal when resume from s1 then go to s4 or s5.

    A7640AMS.192 ---> A7640AMS.193

    - Add AOD module.
    - Fixed M-Flash recovery hung 'c0'.
    - Hide adjust CPU-NB ratio some items above X12.
    - Fix can't force DRAM ratio to 1:4 1600MHz issue when used AM3 Rev C2 C3 CPU.

    A7640AMS.193 ---> A7640AMS.194

    - Add usb3.0 legacy support.
    - When use AM3+ CPU "adjust CPU-NB ratio" only x9,x10,x11,x12 items.
