    AMD shipped million Fusion's

    "In December alone

AMD has apparently managed to ship a million Fusion APUs in December 2010, ahead of the product launch. "

    http://www.fudzilla.com/processors/i...on-fusion-apus

Million Fusion's intel should be worried the single core sandy bridge CULV that i heard about long time back should materialize, but i know it may not because it was never approved.

They probably unloaded all the stock they had in dec, because of the launch, all mainboard makers and system builders probably ordered before that, so it isnt exactly surprising.
If they will keep on quarter after quarter, that will be another thing ;-)

Who bought 1 million Fusions? Intel maybe?

    I've read this on amdzone:

"Well its strange there are actual Fusion based platforms in my country (ex Emachines d644 im selling this here) and Acer doesn't ship it to America or Europe where it can make a great impact for AMD's new fusion platform.

I asked a marketing manager of the distributor for Emachines why? "Lots of pressure and gifts" is what he said. He wont elaborate further, but i get that a carrot and a stick approach is in force by a major CPU maker.... carrots for gifts and sticks for discipline... I realized that this major CPU supplier can still exert a heavy hand and rewards system outside of America where the majority of platform manufacturers are. (desktop and mobile - china and taiwan)"

    http://www.amdzone.com/phpbb3/viewto...138356#p198501

I hope that it's not true.

I'm surprised TSMC has that much 40 nm capacity.

Also, you can even buy Zacate mini-itx boards in Poland. If something new is available here, it must be friggin everywhere.

But these chips are pretty small, they must be getting a lot of dies from a wafer.

The fact that its supposedly out for over 2 months and have shipped lots says a lot when I haven't heard any news about it launching and haven't seen any reviews either.
If its true then and is doing something very wrong...

I can't find an AMD Fusion ITX board in Canada either. There's a few listings here and there, but no stock.

As quoted by LowRun......"So, we are one week past AMD's worst case scenario for BD's availability but they don't feel like communicating about the delay, I suppose AMD must be removed from the reliable sources list for AMD's products launch dates"

I hope they start to innovate some more if they can bring in more cash, and push intel to innovate more!

Official launch date was Januari anyhow, so that is only 1 month.
I'll give a small hint towards availability, just like what will happen to Liano launch soon: Early target launch Asia Pac - JAP and China.

Sure some parts are moving towards other regions but the first fusion parts had the same focus. Other countries should have volume soon to, but it is widely known that even with choice and better solution general Emea and US consumers will take the known brand with the jingle dingle dong marketing.... Only people who focus on product knowledge will take another solution.
