    Aftermarket cooler for 5770

This 5770 is in my HTPC. So its a tight fit. From the center of the gpu I have about 3.25" to the top of the case. From the back of the card the gpu sits about 3.25" in. I have rougly about 1" of clearance from the top of the pcb of the card to the top of the case. Length to the front of the case is not really a factor as I have installed a 4870x2 in this case just to see if would fit.

The biggest issue Im finding with these coolers is they are too tall and finding good dimensions on these is a pita. Ive looked at the Scythe Setsugen 1 or 2, and the Musashi. Another option is a Zalman VF3000 or maybe a Thermalright T-Rad. I want to stay away from anything like the Arctic Cooling coolers as you pretty much only use the fans they come with, or you make modifications to make them fit.

I think the Setsugens are out because they both use 120mm fans which is going to make them too tall. The Musashi might work, but Im wondering about the length of the cooler from the center of the GPU to the back of the card and do I have enough room.

Im not looking to overclock. I just want to keep the GPU cool, and quiet. Nothing worse than a bunch of fans humming while Im watching a movie.

Anyone have a good source of dimensions for these coolers? Or any other suggestions?

Not sure if it will fit your case/card but i'm running a Thermalright HR03-gt on my 5870 (swapped it from my 4890) in my HTPC and it keeps the card extremely cool & much, much quieter than stock HSF. I'm using a 92mm Scythe GT fan being controlled via MOBO BIOS. Bonus to this cooler IMHO is that since it's an older product finding 1 used and for a decent price should be do able, plus you can run ANY fan you want and the cooler works either over/under the card

I think a Musashi will fit and they are fairly cheep to boot. My biggest concern is the distance from the GPU to the back of the card. I pulled an image down off of Scythes Euro site, and blew it up to scale in Paint and it about 3" from the center of the GPU to the back end of the card. So it should work. /crossesfingers

S flex are 12mm making a 120mm fan easier to use

I think something like the trad or setsugen are the best options.
