This setup is a bit age-y about 4 years, and i think that is time to so some upgrades
My 2 setups that i tought about is
    1366 i7 920, some x58 board, dont know which?, 6gb ddr3, dont know which, and 6870 or gtx 470,psu corsair 700w!
Second setup is i7 2600k, some p67 board, dont know which, 6gb ddr3, dont know which, and other setup same as first oneOnly thing for board is at least 6 sata ports, but more is better
If nessesary, plz recommend me some best buy hardware also forgot to mention, SSD is an option, too
    Regards

It is hard to recommend an LGA1366 system after seeing how well 2500k/2600k's clock and how they perform. But unfortunately it is nearly impossible to find a board to purchase and if you do the majority of the SATA ports are going to degrade in performance over time.

If you want a cheap upgrade for gaming, 1156 is still a fairly good platform and it's price is likely to go down.

I've had an i5-750 for a year now, on a P55A-UD4 board and none of the new games fully utilized the resources an i5-750 can provide.

Yeah this is the right choice for you. 1366 is old and 1155 motherbards has problema and are going to be retired

Yeah, how much? 2 months? 3 months? Some people just can't wait that much when they want their computer upgraded.

As of now I'm about to call every e-tailer in the country to see if they can give me a 1155 mobo...If I could found a mATX one with 4 SATA3 ports I'm out of luck, I guess.

Socket 1155. I'd wait for the Z68 chipset though.

Please tell me you're being sarcastic..

To OP - If you don't mind waiting 2 more months, I would get the P67/2500K.

Yeah, you'll find yourself either waiting forever or upgrading every 6 months to a year. It all depends what you're looking for. My current PC serves me just well, but I'm getting Sandy Bridge for the 'novelty' factor - an interesting new thing to play with.

I can recommend what I'm using right now (as mentioned before) - it served me very well, and I can't complain. It seems to work relatively well with Mushkin Blackline memory (which I'm also using). The graphics card solely depends on what your budget is - obviously, a GTX580, maybe in SLI is one of the best things you can get - but it costs money.

In a couple months Z68 is probably going to be around, depending if Z68 gives people the ability to use the CPU on-die graphics for physics Z68 could be a better choice than P67.

Vendors should have boards available in March-April, according to Intel.

I'd pick up a 6950 and see how much that helps. It will make a huge difference over the 8800GTS, and you can always use it in your new build if you decide you really need to upgrade everything.

You won't see a better GPU any time soon. And your 8800 is seriously lacking by today's standards.

You'll still lag with 8800GTS in games, even with SB @ 5GHz.

1156 is a dead platform, don't put money into one. 1366 in the not too distant future will be replaced with 2011 and all 1155 boards have been recalled due to the SATA issue. Wait for Z68 (which will be here in a few months or so) and pick up a nice Z68/2500k combo

You got more info on Z68 Ket ? Who needs on die GPU and Bclock OCability ?

1156/1366 : total waste of cash, 1155 is the only way to go... good performance for the buck; very power efficient and with a K CPU more power than you need... Even with the bad chipset the boards won't die that quick ... it's totally overhyped... current workaround : rop PCH voltage ( I can keep the 3 HD's stable at 0.85 iso 1.05 ), connect the HD's to port 0 and 1 or (if available) a 3rd party controller. And finally swap the board in a few months... I just don't get all the reactions... lucky some of them weren't active when 680i was around lol...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

People are curious about Z68 mainly because of how the on-die CPU graphics may be able to be utilised, such as being used for physics instead of just raw CPU power for the physics. Z68 will also have RST SSD caching, but that will probably be available for the P67 as well via a UEFI / BIOS update. AFAIK, Z68 won't change BCLK and it'll remain as it is in P67. Intel are also killing PCI with Z68 in favor of 8 lanes of PCI-E 2.0. None of this is 100% set in stone, but its very likely what will happen.

Overall, Z68 seems to be more of a evolutionary step to H67, rather than a better version of P67, but we will just have to wait and see what intel actually does with Z68.

I agree people are over-reacting to the P67 SATA issue as well. Sure, its annoying as hell and some boards are duff straight from the box, but that happens sometimes anyway. I tested my Extreme4 earlier and according to HD Tune and Hard Disk Sentiel my HDD passed on SATA2 port3 (only one I tried), so seems like my board isn't effected and I've even bumped PCH voltage a bit to 1.15v. Just glad I got my board when I did, if I do get a problem with it I can easily send it back to the etailer in a few months and have a replacement in around a week.

Not really the best time to buy anything Intel. IMO the best spend of a few hundred $$ right now is a new GPU. Then when 1155 comes back in April consider SB.
