after some testing, I can tell the difference between the 2 bioser 1409/3202
    has a I7 2600k x56
with bios 1409, I have the x56 CPU
and whit 3202 is max x55, but then high bandwidth on my mem

So people are probably complaining because they have lost a multi-

is there a better a 1409 to oc, because with 1409, I have a problem with blck oc
when I start the PC up, start it x2 before it goes into a win when I'm fiddling with blck

    Hi,
Anyone else having bclk issues after 103? Mine just stops after the windows logo screen and stalls. I have to just hit reset, trying to see if anyone else has or seen this issue. And what they did to correct it? Running bios 1004 also. Thanks

Any ideias if m4e or gene-z's bios's have support for more multi changes in ivy bridge ? Some guys went around having problems with them. If they do can someone pm with a link for a more updated version ? Because I"ll have to play with one and I don't have any board support so I am a bit on the dark here

its a very good bios but the one Martin is using borked us mobo chips, OC nub destroyed both bios chips after flashing 3202 and even you can use rog his wont go over stock he cant change multi, and me i can up blck, i put 109 (wich i use to do easy) and PC wwould post and windows still showing 50x100

im mad i was so stupid to try that 3202

to downgrade u can use asus flash but if you put the crap 3202 u must use rog connect wich for sure will result on borked bios at least that was our experience

no Martin the only person that this bios worked is you for the rest of us we end really bad, so please stop saying that good as ppl will try to flash, even we did it and we are experienced, but some other ppl can read this thread and may destroy their mobo easy

I have been thinking about flashing it as that is bios that is required for Ivy support I believe, but man both you and OC Nub have me scared to do so, but I figure I can just RMA the board if it is flaky afterwards.

however this makes me feel a bit better:

Hopefully you wont have the same problem.

I hope to be done with p67/z68 in a week or so. Im going to try the M5G very soon, judging by the threads, it seems to be a very nice board. Showed up at the NewEgg today for $209.00, very reasonable IMO.

Just bought one thank you for the heads up sir

I have so much memory to test (Hypers, really good PSC, BBSE, Samsung 30nm, and Hynix) and after seeing the memory tweaking page on the bios, I must haz

Took half year old Maximus IV Extreme-Z out of closet and...
I hate this donkey gonkey board.. Intel Core i7 2600k @ 5ghz 1.375v (50x100) boots windows and is LinX/IBT and Prime64 stable for 24hours, yet it refuces to boot into windows with 1.5v and 51x, 52x, 53x, 54x, 55x and 56x, it goes bios fine with all of those multipliers.
Cooling aint problem since its LittleDevil PC-V10 case with phase unit.

Guess i will be checking out older bioses.

Yes, Internal PLL Overvoltage is Enabled.
I just flashed bios from 27 December 2011, hopefully its working better than 0210 and 3203.

Ill take shots from bios settings.

    EDIT :
Bumped up BCLK to 100.5 (boots into bios even with 110 bclk), Boot into Windows, within 10seconds of opening CPU-Z it threw BSOD 0x1E.
I went and increased vCore from 1.375 to 1.425 witch resulted to BSOD 0x124 (VTT or vCore too high or low)

Screenshots taken before increasing BCLK to 100.5
    http://imageshack.us/g/220/120413204500.png/

No idea why it doesnt work 5025Mhz when it does work with 5000Mhz and even significantly lower voltage.
Something fishy going on with this Asus Maximus IV Extreme-Z, maybe could be something related to ACHI or Graphics problems since it should change to login screen of windows exactly same moment when it crashes.

I also flashed to the 3202 bios and it killed one of my bios chips. Board runs fine on the second bios chip. I bought a new MIVE bios chip which arrived last week but I haven't installed it yet. Will do it tonight or tomorrow and report back if putting a new bios chip in fixes the issue that 3202 caused.
