I've never known of a good retailer that didn't present themselves as being the solution to a problem. Maybe you guys would be happier of Newegg told everyone to kiss off and sent us back to Asus or Intel.

One more thing, do me a favor and save your opinions on when to insert a to yourself! I'll PM ya (or other wannabe mods) if I need your advice.

I jumped the gun??? I started the thread, think I can comment as I see fit.

Even if they are getting reimbursed by Intel on the back end this is still something good for Newegg to have done. I know if I had purchased a SB motherboard I would have been wondering where I stood and how that would be taken care of, and Newegg reached out to people they knew were affected to let them know. I say kudos.

If nothing else, I expect Intel doesn't reimburse for personnel time spent on the RMA process, just for the cost of the boards and maybe shipping. Newegg could well be eating a bit of cost by going out of their way to reach people as their return rate will certainly be higher than if they hadn't done so.

Dual CCIE (Route\Switch and Security) at your disposal. Have a Cisco-related or other network question? My PM box is always open.

Is there anyway you could keep the motherboard...... until there is a fix and then replace it? The way they are doing it now leaves you with your in your hand for 2 months without a computer. Plus it doesn't seem like all that serious of an issue if you just keep you're OS drive in the 0/1 slot
