Dead 570's (Have you killed yours?)

Mines dead as a dodo now also.... Died at stock everything, palit sonic platinum, not even reference...

Which non-reference video card has died, palit gtx 570 sonic platinum? Under what conditions? Tell more in detail.
I have too a non-reference graphic card, Gainward GTX 570 Phantom, therefore there is a fear.

Your cards broken after 1.1+V, but my card broken after a 10 minutes of Furmark 1.9 at nominal clock and voltage!!! Drivers not limit power at new version of Furmark.

Probably related to the weak VRM's rather than dirty power.

Can't imagine the caps hurting performance. The issue with these cards is mostly the VRM's can't provide enough power and so you're pretty limited if you don't have a donor card.

I don't know of any 580s that have died of dead GPU VRM. On the 580 the GDDR5 VRM chokes like to blow up

This seems like a design oversight from nvidia, reminds me of the 7900GT which I had replaced an infinite number of times till me retailer ran out of stock and just gave me a 8800GTS 320MB =)

Shouldn't. The Direct CU II has more power phases.

vga running cool with this settings

No problem so far

Tested 1GHZ GPU 1.2V still no problem
