Exclusive Dual Fan Thermal Design Reduces GPU Temperature by 20°C

City of Industry, CA – January 25, 2011 – MSI, the world-renowned graphics card and motherboard manufacturer, today officially releases the N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II Series including N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II/OC, N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II/SOC and N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II Golden Edition*. The latest N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II Series, equipped with NVIDIA's newest GeForce GTX 560 Ti GPU employs the next generation of top-grade materials – Military Class II components providing the highest level of stability. When used with MSI's Afterburner overclocking software, the N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr II series graphics cards support GPU over voltage function and push their overclocking potential to the max. More importantly, the MSI-exclusive Twin Frozr II thermal design utilizes large dual PWM fans, SuperPipe technology and nickel-plated copper base design, efficiently lowering the temperature by 20°C— a significant step up from reference design solutions— and giving users a cool and comfortable graphics application environment!

I'm still fine reading reviews, but nVidia did a really good job with the price, performance and power usage on 560. And this MSI N560GTX-Ti Twin Frozr looks really good too.

For anyone who isn't familiar with this heatpipe set up, it cools extremely well and is silent. Reminds me of my after market AC x1900xtx heatsink in terms of noise (or lack thereof).

This card should OC really well.

That looks like a "quality product" alright, not really overpriced for a good custom design, especially the cooling system looks like something Arctic Cooling would charge $40 for as a custom GPU cooling solution. That's like 235 EUR, just about what the expensiest custom design GTX 460 would be or just above that, in USD market probably around 250~$270. Will be interesting to see if there's any noteworthy OC headroom left though (I have a feeling they will go to 980~1050MHz core range without hard voltmods). I like what the good competition between the green and red camp brings, been a while since we saw such a pressure on the competition between them in the midrange or "performance" segment.

Yea its the cheapest one of the lot, £203 as opposed to £229 for the Asus and Gigabyte models.

I suppose that MSI are trying to cash in on early buyers, and they have lots more stock available on both Scan and OCUK than the others.

Well, the 900 Mhz Gigabyte is £3 less, but it has a blue PCB and uglier cooler, and its only available on pre order.

yeah, they are not asking much for this good cooler. That's a really good one and they could easily ask for more.

I got really surprised, my local dealer has listed this for the same price as other MSI-coolers. But the biggest surprise, it's ~10% cheaper than ASUS and Gainward's "good" coolers. Here you can see the price-list: http://www.komplett.no/k/search.aspx?q=gtx+560

That seems good, Komplett used to sell in the UK and I bought some things from there in the past, but they stopped selling here ages ago.

The MSI GTX 560 is selling at the lowest price point of the lot. One review I saw showed it running at 1070 Mhz, and some guy who works for MSI told me on the OCUK forums that he got one up to 1100 Mhz stable with a little extra voltage! Surprising because that twinfrozr cooler is one of the best VGA coolers you can get.

I'll be able to test with mine soon to see if they do manage that, but they havnt dispatched today so I'll probably be waiting two more days before I get them.

Very nice to see the Ti name making a comeback.

I just wished you could get those coolers by themselves. I have yet to see an aftermarket cooler for the gtx460.

Well this is evil both these reviews show the MSI 560s coming with 3D mark 11 included:

    http://www.pureoverclock.com/review.php?id=1202&page=3
    http://www.overclockersclub.com/revi...0_twinfrozr_2/

But this isnt mentioned on the versions being sold at OCUK or Scan, and the box pictures on their sites dont show 3D mark 11 on the box

Ah, thats the USA, Canada and Mexico only box, sucks that they cant give us free 3D mark 11 in the UK.

So far the MSI twin frozr seems like a solid card, Reporting @ 1050 stable on AIR, Nvidia 560TI reporting 950 on air.. The WHITE pcb TI, guessing around 1200 ?

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

Should I open them yet? Hmmmmmm, well duh, OFC I'm opening them, right now in fact, mmmmmm!

Nice match with my cooler! Now I longer feel like getting a new CPU cooler.

First Benchies, they worked at 900 / 2200 out of the box, I have no idea why MSI didnt clock them to 900 Mhz by default:

71 degrees max without my Antec spotcool fan installed, my Cyclone 460s were running up to 75-78 degrees at 900 Mhz with a side fan, so the Twin Frozr cooler is very decent, despite its awful name :p

The CD version of Afterburner wont allow voltage adjustment, I'll try downloading the latst one.

    Nice results bhavv.

I opted to go with the MSI OC as well. The only thing that put me off on the MSI was that it doesnt appear to have any heatsinks on the mosfets and memory, instead relying on the airflow thru the heatsink. First thin I am going to do is epoxy some aluminum sinks on whatever I can, apply AS5 on the main cooler and see whats what.

The newest version of Afterburner seems to still be quite outdated, so I'm curious what you find in regards to which version allows voltage adjustment.

Yea the latest one for download is 2.0 which is what I already had. I posted on Guru forums through the link in the kombuster software to ask for help.

I'm selling my enzotech VRM heatsinks with my GTX 460s as they wont fit under this cooler, and I am going to opt for these kinds of dual fan coolers in the future.

I have 4 sets of 8 copper ram sinks though, but with a cooler this good I fear taking it off incase I make the temps worse! I didnt remove the Cyclone coolers on my 460s, and I dont plan on removing this one either.

Wow, what a fail. The reviews I posted above used Afterburner 2.1.0 beta 6 to overvolt and overclock their cards, but when I download the same version it isnt 64 bit compatible, and on the Afterburner forums they say there never was a 64 bit version of it.

But both the reviews on the card are using 64 bit Windows 7?

Ummm. The vast majority of 32bit apps work perfectly fine under Win7-64. Why do people struggle with this concept?

Yea but it gave the incompatible error when trying to run it. I read around and found out that you have to download it through Internet Explorer for it to work and it did.

But downloading it through Opera gives the incompatible error when trying to run the installation file.
