Well, my local Micro Center only got 6 pcs. of 2600Ks on its shelf and stock room today and no plan to refresh inventory next week
Could be they make a room for the new cpu?

Maybe a re-post but still worth it I think. Anand posted 4 parts of his own video material from the OC event. You can see and hear Simon talking about high end air, water cooling and LN2 clock targets, temps, robustness of FX(they don't degrade with 1.5V or not as fast as other chips would do) etc. The rest of team AMD FX is there too :
I will have an FX8150 on LN2 by the end of october, or I will go nuts. I'm too excited for this release.
now the real goal is to come up with $500 by the end of october...

...what's the MAX safe voltage for this proc. on AIR?

I watched some "real" benches.. The AMD holds it's own very well against a 980X and when you kick in the price difference between it and a 980X it's a no brainer.
I'll say it this way, IF I was building a gaming machine I would use the FX8150 and not think twice about it, and buy the family's food for the month with the savings!
But the 2500k beats the 980x in most (gaming) benches, and can be gotten relatively cheaply. Not sure how I feel about it holding its own (not beating) the 980x in game benches; plus, games aren't my only concern.
Regardless, that's still exciting to hear, and assures me that I won't have many regrets getting a BD cpu.

freeloader informal where did you get $230 for the highest 8150 model? Isn't the price too low considering It should compete with SB 2600 and not 2500 not to mention two weeks ago it was ~$269 and one month ago $300. I get the fact they want to have better price/performance ratio but this price is too low.

its very good, maybe up to 1.55V as with older Denebs . We will see, how much next step in voltage help in overclock (for 10-20 MHz up is not sense incrase voltage from 1.5 to 1.55 of course...). Im looking not only for chips (maybe Im crazy), but also at new wallpapers with Scorpion logos

Apparently Intel will release a 2700K at the same time BD is released, thus the downward pricing. Take it for what it is... Also, if supply is low don't expect to see those prices.

As quoted by LowRun......"So, we are one week past AMD's worst case scenario for BD's availability but they don't feel like communicating about the delay, I suppose AMD must be removed from the reliable sources list for AMD's products launch dates"
freeloader Then what about 4core SB-E its evident more cache doesn't help much not to mention those prices are just too low.
SB2700 would get just a 200Mhz boost thats not much and Instead of AMD cutting prices Intel should cut the price of SB2600 if It has plans for a new model.

freeloader I am not accusing you of anything and thanks for the link, but I think his prices are BS but we will know for sure once the NDA lifts.
