    Talking AMD HD 6990 (Photos!!)

    AMD HD 6990
    No comment

AMD APU processor platform today, published in the conference, AMD "accidentally" the latest, most (known) single-card dual-core graphics card-HD6990 out, "Dian" with me (show off) and, according to sources, this card Wang HD6990 is expected to be officially listed in the first quarter, but the cards have been exposed to under the current entity, I believe you should see it soon on the scene. (卡超長的XD) (Card extra long XD)

We are sure AMD dual-core in a single card design capabilities on the graphics card from AMD before 5970 will prove the technical R & D capability, but having said that, although the Fermi NVIDIA rivals the early architecture by AMD pressing play, but improved after GTX 580,570 are still full of good market response, and now is active in the recently introduced C / P value of super-high 560 to grab the mainstream market, then if AMD do not make a timely response, and then in the mainstream graphics card market There will be a hard fight.

The look doesn't matter, partners are going to tear it apart, LOL, and put their own coolers on it anyways.

The performance and price is what counts, as always, but this time the timing counts a lot too. AMD better get this out soon, before it gets out of hand.

We need a real good fight in high-end soon, then we will get real good prices over the whole range. Lets hope AMD can deliver a competitive GPU on time.

Yeah, the fan is in the middle. Ensures both chips get fresh air. Downside it, half of the heat gets dumped back into the case. :S

I am missing a power connector though. They seem to be apart, but where the second one should be, there's just the case. I smell a rat.

Maybe they are using one 6-pin only, the 69xx is a very power efficient afre all, LOL.
I didn't pay attention to the power connectors, but this doesn't look like a "fished" product to me. Lets hope this is not a PR-stand to diverse attention from 560.

This one looks pretty much ready... Why the delays?
    Going to be a monster!
Interesting GPU placement comparing to 5970. Hopefully it will allow for cooler operation.

Doesn't look much, if any, bigger than a 5970 by my eye. Is it really so big?

Interested to see how high clocks/voltaghe they've managed and how the cooler handles the two cores. Size-wise it's most likely the same as 5970. And the central fan is probably a better idea so that both cores stay on the same level. If you buy one of these you ought to have proper case cooling anyways so dumping heat inside the case shouldn't pose a problem.

I remember a while back before Cayman came out I think it was Anand or some site being told that the 6990 will be coming with a few new surprises. I hope it has something to do with providing an incentive over getting 2x 6970s or 2x 6950s. Otherwise I think this will just be kinda meh' like the 5970 was (overpriced) and not really a big seller.

Why is it that "red woodscrews" comes to my mind.

If this thing will either have under 90C load temp or won't sound like a vacuum cleaner if it manages that I'd be impressed.
