Seems with 1305 they not also upgraded the HW version of PRO/EVO.. again but also the Deluxe got an increment so they will no longer be able to easily flash back to older versions.

Does 1305 fix the sleep issue? I tried 1302 on the EVO and that gets as far as turning the fan on when waking from sleep and stops there. Does this even with PLL overvoltage disabled. Currently running 0402.

my opinion is still 1204 is the best so far. Less odd bugs

0402 is the worst by far. I dont even think it was supposed to be released as the first official bios is 0804. My first board came with 0402, bought back in December. A newer board I got came with the 0804 bios, so my guess is that the very first motherboards that went out had the old bios.
    Rig 1:
    ASUS P8Z77-V
    Intel i5 3570K @ 4.75GHz
    16GB of Team Xtreme DDR-2666 RAM (11-13-13-35-2T)
    Nvidia GTX 670 4GB SLI

    Rig 2:
    Asus Sabertooth 990FX
    AMD FX-8350 @ 5.6GHz
    16GB of Mushkin DDR-1866 RAM (8-9-8-26-1T)

Yamakasi Catleap 2B overclocked to 120Hz refresh rate

What's that saying about "One man's meat is another man's poison"

Yes, 0402 came with the board but the oldest is on the CDROM disk (0303). 0402 wakes up from sleep, no double boots, hasn't got PLL overvoltage but since my chip doesn't look like making it much past 4.5GHz for 24/7 then not a problem.

Went through a problematic EFI BIOS with the laptop for over the last 2 years. It seems while they fixed some things they would break something else so ended up staying on one of the very early versions. I don't think the UEFI will be as bad as that but seems it's going to take a while to iron everything out.

EDIT: I didn't buy the board that long ago, now I'm wondering if it might be old or returned stock. hmmm. Well I guess it's going to be swapped ~April so np.

Really? 0402 had the worst double boot issue of them all for me and couldn't overclock past 200 MHz

Sleep is working fine on Deluxe now, that's with PLL overvoltage disabled tho, I didn't try with enabled.

1305 is working fine on Deluxe. Except Clear CMOS, which is not working after 1302, and flash back to 1024. That may be some kind of HW-problem on my MB too, I'm not sure what's up, but removing battery and pressing reset for 30 sec is doing the trick.

Whenever there is a increment, it's a good idea to have a little warming in release note to let people know they may get in trouble with flash back, tho.

Anyone got Hypers work on these P8P67 boards yet? Still having lot of problems with my g.skill perfect storm, hard times getting these stable @ 2133 CL8, even 1866 CL7 needs +1,70v..

I hope this will be fixed in future bios updates..

Well I agree 0402 is not perfect but some of the later releases were worse for me. I tried 1305 and initially it doesn't seem too bad so far.

At the moment trying to decide whether fixed Vcore or offset would be better. With fixed the load line can be used to give higher Vcore with just 1 or 2 cores running (3 or 2 cores idle) and hence use the traditional way of turbo boosting scaled up a few notches. Here's some results with 0402 using 46,46,48,50 staggered turbo ratios. It's a bit higher than I would likely end up running 24/7 with this system.

SuperPi running one thread so ~5.0GHz

Same settings as above running Linx using 4 cores hence 4.6GHz.

The advantage of offset is that Vcore can be reduced a lot while idle but would mean running flat multi's, which isn't so bad really.

It's not the easiest way, but it's good to know it's there.
Post Code 59 is resolved after a Clear CMOS too so I guess all 1302-mess up is more or less resolved, somehow.

1305 seams to be working fine here, I've tested with just a little 10-min prime tho.
    You welcome.

Thanks for the info. Sleep does not work with PLL overvoltage enabled as expected but since it looks like I will not be going over 5GHz thats okay, looks like 1305 is a keeper, for now.

So, I updated the bios on my deluxe to 1305 and now I am having my RAM issues again. If I have my PERC5i RAID card in the x4 slot, the bios never goes past the RAM test, regardless of what I set it too. This is friggin frustrating as heck. I had it working, but now it does not like 4 sticks of ram and that PERC card all installed. Anyone have any ideas? On a side note, it's nice to be able to disable the BT module. Oh, and I almost forgot, I need more voltage to get the same OC. If I put it at 1.44v I get a BSOD with an error code of 0016, at 1.46v I don't get it. This setup is friggin quirky.

Thats why I dont update my bios past 1204. It works great for me post wise and with my RAM, and I am stable at almost the speeds I want on the CPU. Id rather not chance problems elsewhere (like many/most report) to get a few more MHz from my CPU.

Well I updated to 1305 hoping it would fix some random BSOD issues, but I think I am in the same boat if not worse now with 1305.

Still trying 1305, still looks like some improvements could be made but seems to be moving in the right direction. There also seem to be a few horror stories
too with bad flashing. Hope they get to the bottom of it.

Something I found in the 13xx BIOS is that you can take a screenie of your BIOS setup using F12 and a FATTY USB. Has that ever been mentioned? I don't remember reading about it.

Can anyone confirm that the 1305 bios supports the DDR3 2000Mhz step?
Currently I need to set my GT's to 1866 speed.

EDIT: for those of you who have flashed to 1305, and seriously considering switching back, could have a look here

The lack of 2000MHz memory speed is an IMC limitation not the board.

I didn't see any 1155 boards listed, however, I guess this could be an option if you absolutely need to flash back and could not. I wouldn't go this route personally, I would rather the BIOS be fixed or the board, whichever is the issue.

http://bios-repair.co.uk/ref/Asus.html -> 11XX-P7-P8 -> 1155 -> There you have listed every Sandy Bridge MB available, from Asus.

The new MB from Asus use 8 pin pdip eeprom, and are relatively easy to change. I've already used 1 chip, since the 1305 bugged my board - also have 2 in reserve just in case

Is the Pro BIOS chip located next to SATA6_E12 with the imprinted "MX" name on it? Also, is the BIOS chip from the link above flashed with the English EFI BIOS or is it with the Britsh?

He flashes with the latest official bios from your boards manufacturer, or a bios of your choice - if you ask him.

Bioschip is located as shown in the picture below - on the deluxe:

Ok, so I officially do not like 1305. I have been having weird issues, one of which when I went into the BIOS the first screen had "**********" everywhere there was supposed to be data such as clock speed. Fixed it by unplugging the power, pulling the battery and resetting the bios. On top of that, at default settings, meaning voltages and multi on Auto it will not boot into Windows, I get either a lock up or a BSOD stating it needs more voltage even though the auto sets it at 1.22v vcore. I actually have to manually configure it for my overclock at which point it boots fine. Now some other non-bios related issues:

1 - The front USB 3.0 Module is loose on the board and if I am not careful putting the ram fan on I can knock it loose and it doesn't work. I figured it would snap in, but it does not.

2 - I spent the last day running memtest on my ram thinking I had a bad module, but it looks like Slot 4 is bad. I tested each stick individually in slot 1 and they came back with no errors after 8-10 passes. I then put a stick in each slot and tested one at a time, so one stick in slot 2, tested for 8-10 passes, then slot 3 and then slot 4. All the slots report my CAS settings correctly except for slot 4, so I am thinking I have a bad slot.

3 - I cannot run my PERC5i RAID card in the x4 slot with 4 sticks of memory, however this may have to do with the above issue.

Now, I do not know if issues 2 and 3 are Bios related or HW related. Either way, I cannot wait till Asus starts swapping out the boards. Microcenter has already told me they will swap it out once the new boards come in and I may just go with the Maximus if they get it in. This is the first non-ROG board I have had in a long time and it seems to have a lot of issues. If anyone has any ideas about the above issues please feel free to advise me on a solution.
