ok - well I've uninstalled suite, cba with it tbh. But I won't find out if this worked until tomorrow, when i come back and turn on the PC again.
Regardless, I've done the tips you said and I hope it'll work.

I guess the 1204 bios from this thread is the same as the one on asus.com site?

Ye I uninstalled it too, make sure to kill the asus services, there is 3 of them.

I'd like to make two suggestion for the asus bios, I'd like to be able to enter an idling vcore, atm I set it manually but it's kinda ridic to see it idling @ 1600 with 1.32v all the time so I suggest an option to manually set an idling vcore

Also I'd love you to put in an option to you can export all your bios settings to a .txt file on the primary hd, you could then be easily able to post your settings on forums or even to send to asus

Use Offset Mode for setting your voltage and your CPU will dynamically adjust its Vcore. My 2600K idles around .996V for example, the bumps up to 1.336V at load.

Ok, so I have 1253 bios and every time my system boots it has to reinstall the bluetooth drivers, anyone else having this issue? Also, it seems when I first get into windows my USB keyboard and mouse do not work for about two minutes. It seems to be related to the bluetooth issues since once it has installed everything works fine. Any ideas?

You tried newer 1204? I know it's lower number but it's the newer version.

That bluetooth-thingy pops up with BIOS 1204 too. I'm not sure what it's up to, but it doesn't seams to be reinstalling drivers. It seams to be some kind of initiation, or something.

I had that keyboard delay at W7-log on too, but only for about 10-sec or so (also it seams like 10 minuets LOL), but somehow it's gone now. I don't know how, but it's gone now. That bluetooth-thingy still pops opp tho, it doesn't seams to be the the source of delay.

    EDIT:
I've checked closer, that bluetooth-thingy pops op and says "other devices can not connect to this computer" (or something with this meaning), I opened it up and checked the "Allow bluetooth devices to find this computer" check-box on "others"-tab, and now it has stopped pooping up

@chestnut if you aren't going to oc, whichever won't matter. If you are going to OC, flash the latest.

I'm using Maximus, system hung during BIOS flashing from 0675 to 0802.
Now I'm stuck at BIOS Recovery screen "Insert USB/HDD/DVD containing BIOS, please reset.."
But when I used USB/DVD bios, my PC keeps rebooting in blank screen with debug code F5 (stock bios 0406 on DVD also doesn't help)
    tried bios 0802, 0675, 0406 (stock)
I cant go into BIOS setup and windows, the Recovery tool is like not working.

If it is working, wait for the 13xx series at least. No sense upgrading if you don't need it.

The latest official BIOS is 1204. If your board works fine on 0402, then I suggest wait for 1301 before flashing.

Update - Qualification testing is going well on the upcoming 1302 UEFI series.
    1. Per Bug Core save problem is fixed
    2. HD Performance is a bit better
    3. New auto rules for power management is working well
    4. USB performance is up
    5. Memory tuning profiles and performance enhancements are working well
    6. Greater memory compatibility (still fine tuning Elpida Hypers, which will be in the next update, these modules were designed with Bloomfield/Gulftown in mind and expected settings for those platforms in the SPDs do not mesh nicely with Sandy Bridge, especially the VTT requirements)
    7. Auto Tuning is improved slightly
    8. Improved Resume/Hibernate return times

Issues still Open on my end-
    1. MS Wireless Receiver 3.1 and under appears to be causing drift problems in UEFI in certain setups, Wireless Receivers above 4.0 have no issues, checking older wireless mice and keyboards now (3 years or older)
    2. Elpida Hyper 2000+ Kits, still fine tuning as mentioned above
    3. Still waiting on updated PCH firmware and new RST driver set from Intel to address several minor bugs
Why do people claim to know something they do not and then write about it.

Guys I havnt had time to read threw all these threads but Im having a cold boot problem,I can get the system running 100% stable in windows and as soon as I shut it down it never wants to post on boot and always double boots and says oc failed.

It does this even with stock settings and Im running the 1204 bios.

are there any fixes for this cold boot issue?

What mobo version. It is highly recommended to clear the Cmos after flash. On my Deluxe the button can be gotten to at the I/O plate.

After reading for about an houe straight this is what Iv done to help.I have the pro board.

    Latest bios
    clear jumper
go into advance setting/apm and enable wake on pcie and pci.
set every,I mean every timing manually and dram voltage manually.

With all this I can get it to boot every time from cold, but it still double boots but at least it dosnt hang up and no post at all and need to do like 4-5 trys to get it to post.

I can live with the double boot the way I got it running now,but before was anoying.

What about reducing the amount of time it takes for the board to POST?

Also, is reducing the blink-rate of the Power LED when in S3 sleep being considered? It's just WAY too fast.

Have you disabled all the controllers that you don't use in EFI, as well as the asus splash screen ?

The board posts quite fast for me, except when my 2TB USB drives are plugged in...but that would also happen with my previous board.

Maybe thats my problem. EFI was supposed to be much faster, yet this new ASUS board takes like 15 seconds to post, longer than any other board I have had. I suppose it could be related to all my large hard drives I have. I have two 2TB drives, three 1.5TB drives, and one 1TB drive. I will have to try boot speed differences with only the one TB drive plugged in and see what happens.

Actually I'd want it not to blink at all. Just stay on or off (preferably off).

    Hello,
Is there any way to increase the vcore mini without increasing the vcore max with offset ?

because i need 1.38 v to be stable at 4.8 ghz with manual voltage but with offset first i need more vcore like 1.40v to be stable on 8 thread and secondly i cant be stable on 1 thread because the vcore mini is 1.288v on 1 core full loaded and no matter if i up the offset, the mini vcore on 1 core full load will still be 1.288 :/ and so i can't be stable when only 1 core is loaded.

i've tryed all the llc and the regular seems to have higher mini which is still not stable but at least i can do 5 pass instead of 0 pass but this is with high offset and the max reach 1.440v.

with manual vcore i need 1.38 v max to pass prime and linx avx so this mini at 1.288 seems really too low even for 1 core.

    update:

i finally got the right settings to pass linx 1 hour on 1 thread with offset
llc on medium with offset at 0.110
vcore mini is now 1.320v on linx 1 thread and the max on linx 8 thread is 1.408 with some spike at 1.42
not that great since i normally need 1.38v but still win since my vcore not going to be maxed often
I tryed in game(arma2) and im more around 1.35/38v so i guess its not a big deal.
