Summer is coming, and with it 30c ambiance temps.
I have both the UD9 with water blocks (bought it used 6 months ago or so), and the R3E and the Xpander for 4-way.
I can't put water blocks on the R3E as the xpander will give me issues with the barbs holes, and I don't really want to spend any more money.
I like the R3E better, but the IOH and ICH are getting pretty hot as a result of summer temps, and during playing they already reach over the 60c.
So I'm considering loosing some of the flow rate because of the motherboard blocks, and get the system a bit cooler.
What do you think?
I don't plan to upgrade this year, and if I go back to the UD9, I can sell the R3E for whatever I can to get some extra to next year's update.
OCing wise, the R3E gave me a bit better mhz on benchmarking, and the UD9 volts were quite off compared to the R3E.
