And same here. No High vdrop on 1.8b7 bios but my 2600k clocks better. 5290 so far
I'm struggling with voltage control on 1.8b7. 45x100 set in BIOS at 1.25V. CPU-Z shows 1.225V idle and 1.264V under Prime95 load. MSI Control Center has 1.2150V displayed. All other voltages on Auto with Vdroop control on low.
This somewhat consistent with you guys?

Quick question. How long does it take for your boards to make the boot screen (MSI logo thing) visible when cold booting whilst overclocked? Takes longer than I expect.

Will do. I have a multimeter so will get round to doing it shortly.

I returned this board last night and am awaiting the arrival of a P8P67 Deluxe. The vCore fluctuation is ridiculous on this board. Under no load it would drop by .2V under what is set in Bios, and loaded goes up by as much as .4V OVER what you set in Bios. The control center doesn't show the bios settings it shows its own, as if it is not communicating with/pulling the bios settings when you launch it, just what was last specified in the control center itself.

What BIOS version were you using? I will be getting delivery of this board on Monday. I'm kind of bummed hearing about the BIOS glitches and up dating the IME(?). FRom what I've read, the 1.8.10 BIOS seemed to smooth things out. MSI seemed to really get things right with this board. I'm hoping that they get the BIOS sorted. I really liked the feature set of the board.

This board is not so bad. So u dont have to be afraid. Best bios for oc is 1.8b6. Some users had saving problems in bios settings but it was repaired in newest 1.8B10 bios wich for me is not so good for oc'ing. Stlii not all users had same problems. And u have to remember that Sandy Bridge is a new technology and there will be many updates in future wich will make those Cpu and mainboards run better
That's my hope Klataa! looks like I'll be flashing to the 1.8b6 rather than the b10 initially & see how it all goes!

Mine is no where near what cpuz shows. If i set it to 1.45 in bios, cpuz reads around 1.48v and the DMM shows 1.58v. If I set vcore lower in the bios, the discrepancy is not as much. The higher I set it to in the bios, the larger the difference.
I also ended up killing something yesterday, think it's my 2600k, but not sure yet
Has anyone heard of fixes for Not able to disable spread spectrum and no Base Clock MHz adjustment?
Is your dualbios led flashing on your board? and u load default setting.
I had also the same problem, but after clearcmos + load default settings, the bug was gone.
Check wich Firmware u on
use the command MEUP -FWVER
