But also 100% improvement on the extreme Tesselation in the Heaven 2.0 Benchmark. I'm sorry, but I have a hard time believing any driver can up the fps from 30-35 (6950 and 6970) to 60-70 fps.

Some more info about 11.1a:
These might be delayed, though...Catalyst 11.1a Hot-Fix
The latest Catalyst Hot-Fix; (11.1a) offers increased performance brings a slew of new features and should be the driver used for any performance testing. Below are a few of the highlights from this driver:
Performance improvements for the AMD Radeon HD 6800 & HD 6900 series include but not limited to:
AMD Radeon HD 6900 and AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series:
· 3DMark Vantage improves ~7%
· 3DMark06 improves ~3%
· Call of Duty Black Ops improves ~20% at 4xMSAA and up to 35% at 8xMSAA
· Riddick Assault on Dark Athena SSAO performance improves ~20%
· Unigine Heaven OpenGL performance improves ~10% at moderate, 30% at normal and 100% at extreme tessellation levels
AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series:
· Aliens vs. Predators improves ~9% at 2xMSAA and up to 20% at 4xMSAA
· Batman Arkham Asylum improves ~4%
· Crysis Warhead improves ~2-4%
· Metro 2033 improves ~28% at 4xMSAA
AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series:
· Battleforge DirectX 11 performance improves as much as 6%
· The Catalyst Control Center includes an early prototype of some new tessellation controls. Our goal is to give users full control over the tessellation levels used in applications. The default selection “AMD Optimized” setting allows AMD, on a per application basis, to set the best level of tessellation. The intention is to help users get the maximum visual benefit of Tessellation, while minimizing the impact on performance. Currently no applications have been profiled, so the “AMD Optimized” setting will be non-operational until further notice.
· The “Use Application Settings” option gives applications full control over the Tessellation level. Users can also manually set the maximum tessellation level used by applications with the slider control
· The long term goal for the “AMD Optimized” setting is to use the Catalyst Application Profile mechanism to control the AMD recommended level of tessellation on a per application basis. AMD’s intention is to set the tessellation level such that we will not be reducing image quality in any way that would negatively impact the gaming experience.
Taken from http://forums.legitreviews.com/I came in this morning and it seems as though our Driver Team had a few more last minute tweaks/changes which in turn delays the process for certification and testing and now the new date is firm for next week. The driver is a “release candidate” and we’re currently working on WHQL certification, the Driver Team is keeping me informed as to when it’ll go live. I’ve now been told that they’re working on a timeline to have it out by mid-next week, so most definitely either Wednesday 25th or Thursday 26th .

Wait... so the hotfix is going to be released before the actual driver is released?

OpenGL Unigine doesn't seem to work with 6950, it doesn't render tessellated surfaces at all.
The new tessellation slider works, though I don't see much point in using it unless for stuff like HAWX2.

Left, 10.12c (1920x1080 - 8xAA - 16xAF - Extreme - Directx11). Right, 11.1a "Amd Optimized" in CCC.

Not sure CFX in Heaven worked with earlier drivers. Nonetheless, pretty nice.
Btw, not sure this "AMD Optimised" setting does anything yet.
The Catalyst Control Center includes an early prototype of some new tessellation controls. Our goal is to give users full control over the tessellation levels used in applications. The default selection “AMD Optimized” setting allows AMD, on a per application basis, to set the best level of tessellation. Currently no applications have been profiled, so the “AMD Optimized” setting will be non-operational until further notice.
Now I'm curious what the image quality difference is when the "AMD Optimized" setting is used...

"AMD Optimized" had no impact on the results when I tested it, as it shouldn't. I also tested the slider at max (64x) and it gave the same result as with xtreme tessellation. With the slider at 8x and xtreme tessellation it did increase the result from 32 to 54 fps. Obviously it drops the tessellation level, but it's going to be hard to test which setting gives the best quality/performance scenario. I guess that's why there's a "AMD optimized" setting for future use.

"No, you'll warrant no villain's exposition from me."
Crossfire works
And tessellation's settings in CCC change results:
Amd Optimized -> higher score and good quality, but not best.
User defined -> off = crash Unigine
User defined -> 2x to 6x lower quality (Extreme appeare as Normal tesselation, with wireframe on is more evident)
User defined -> 8x to 64x quality high, and difference only in screenshots
Use application setting -> best quality, and little improvement on 10.12 RC3 score
No improvement in Lost Planet 2 and Aliens vs Predator with any settings.
No test with 3dmark 2011 performance: heavy cpu limited
I will test Stalker: CoP as soon as possible
are these for win7 64bit, or 32bit???
Nothing anymore
Man, lovin these drivers with Tri-Fire.... used to average 60-70fps in BFBC2 x8 accross the board in CCC, with new drivers, with same settings getting 90-120.... Bout time they did something like the 10.5a drivers....
