Cant u reroll back to 10.12 WHQL or 10.5? They seem like the most reliable ati drivers..

Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?

what the hell is up with 11-1?

    found in file c:\program files (x86)\ati technologies\hydravision\hydradmh.dll
I would say its Norton that's the problem here.

norton has been running seamlessly since i built this setup likw 15months ago. recently however ive been having graphics and ati driver issues. 10-10 wont run. 10-11 doesnt work correctly after install, but still works and every other night, the gpu crashes my pc b/c CCC kept the clocks too hight and 10-11 wouldnt let me in to tone it down

So Norton is using the same definitions & has not updated as like 15 months ago & how many others are getting that message from Norton about that ATI.dll ? it seems like there are other issues going on on your system.

Microsoft Security Essentials is more seemliness & its seems that Norton is making a false positive & is trying to block that DLL & ATI needs it active to function properly.

So if you download it from AMD & not from the leaked links then its safe & your Norton is in error for whatever reason.

if its blocking the dll it needs, then why does ati need ultradefragger to run hydravision?

Because its not using ultradefragger & if you cant show other examples of Norton users having the same issue with ATI drivers & Norton then your system is infected & ultradefragger is injecting itself into DLLs.

    I installed 11.1a.

I opened up CCC and enabled CrossfireX for my 4850x2 and its not running both cores. MW@H is only running on 1 core even though crossfire is enabled. anyone else with a dual core chip having this same issue?

Yes I had a similar issue with an older Catalyst when I first got my UD5, thought one of my 3870X2's had lost a core so went & got a 6950. New 6950 artifacted at stock so I sent it back & after a fresh install of 7 64-Bit, the latest GB bios & install of 11.1a all 4 cores run fine..... dont know what I did but it now works!

In my case it happens with just Multi-Sample AA. It also happens on my previous 4870X2. To me it looks more like a CF issue...

BTW 11.1's altered the 2D clocks on my 6870's, from 100/300 to 300/300mhz...
    Anyone else experienced this?

Give vantage a run and i'll compare at the same (GPU) clocks I only get about 27k in 06, due to it obviously being cpu freq limited. But result is spot on from the looks of it

i contacted AMD about the issues i was having: the crashing and also the fact that CrossfireX was not enabling the use of both cores on my GPU and they said they are investigating and will fix it with a driver update
