I have been using Gigabyte boards for my E8400 chips with good success. I really like this new P67 UD7 but keep reading about the Intel 82579 LAN chipset being much better than the Realtek 8111E LAN chipset. Is this really true?
THANKS!

Some of it has to do with heavy server workloads, and how Intel LAN ICs seem to fare better than Realtek (cheap, popular option).
ASUS P8P67 Pro, Evo and Deluxe have Intel LAN - to be honest I doubt it makes any noticeable diffence though, but it's a nice feature when choosing between boards, lower CPU usage and (hopefully) nicer drivers are always a bonus
Thanks!!!!!
