    GPU Reccommendations?

I am in dire need of a GPU, I really do not care what it is. Initially I am thinking GT240 until GTX560 comes.

I did something a little silly to help a local buddy out, now I am currently down 2x GTX275's

I need something just to get my SR-2 going aand/or can use as a spare. There currently are no good deals.

Let me know your thoughts. My limit is usually $200 per card. Thanks

thanks for the offer, but I was never impressed with the gtx295; watched too many cards die and/or have issues. I honestly think I want to go GT 240, GTX460 or GTX560. If I could find a GT240 for sheap without rebate; I would be all over it. I've been looking everyday, just can't talk myself into anything quite yet.

If you are not crunching GPUGRID...
Are you interested in a used 65nm GTX260?

Skip the 240... they're making the WUs longer and longer, idk how much longer the 240s are still going to hold on and be able to get bonuses.

24 hour prime stable? Please, I'm 24/7/365 WCG stable!

So you can do Furmark, Can you Grid???

I thought the GT 240 were a pretty decent card for the price. I see what your getting at with this though.

I will have to give it some serious thought of what I want to do then. Main rig needs 2 gpu's to power a 32" and 2 26" monitors and for gpugrid. I am not looking to go overkill like I did in the past though, just need enough to get by probably.

That is the 216 version. The 65nm allows overvolting, and has a blackplate.

So yours is a 216. How much do you want for it? I will give it some thought. I currently have 1 GTX 260 216 running the grid. It must be a 55nm cause it does not have the backplate. I had an older card with the backplate, but I'm pretty sure it was a 192.

also just for grins; how much do you want for your GTX 295?

too bad they don't usually make the higher end cards single slot; would be cool to fill up all the slots on my SR-2
    Thanks

    1) There are 65nm 216 revisons (eVGA) without the backplate. Specifically the nonref no voltage control types.

    2) Watercool!!
I own everything, so can it!

    EDIT: well, not anymore

I am in the process of getting all my H20, but I have a hard time thinking about $100 blocks for a gpu that cannot be used on the next cards. Also I do not want to spend thousands of dollars just to run gpugrid.
I do not think I mentioned it here, but I do not game; so the cards I run tend to be overkill and mostly for the grid.

some may have followed what I had done a while back. I used to run 6-7 syatems with 11 GTX 275's and 1 gtx 260 for gpu grid and WCG. I got into a situation where money was tight and had to sell off most of what I had; plus the wife was crying about the utility bill. End result is that I sold everything that I did not actually need.

I recently did something silly and helped a buddy out by selling him my last 2 GTX 275's for dirt cheap in hopes to find replacement cards for a good price, but appears that a GTX275 equivilent is too expensive. I am now trying to figure out what I want to get preferably without spending too much.

It can run two monitors, just it needs an adaptor if you can only go DVI + VGA...
