Just exchanged my GA-P67A-UD4 for the TP67XE.

You guys been keepin' secrets. :-)

Seriously tho, I *really* like this board so far. I'm only going to 4.8Ghz 24/7 because my 2600K needs 1.404 load to be stable and I'm on air.

This board is probably the best value on the P67 market right now (in my opinion).

    Much more stable BIOS
    Better BIOS
    10-phase vs. 8-phase
Saved $60 US. I think the UD4 is overpriced for what you get TBH.
There is no blue on the TP67XE. :-)

I love the BIOS on the Biostar, have to admit one fault tho, no way to save settings, anywhere.

Hi, one other BIOS nitpick here:

In the BIOS manual on the CD (ENUTP67XE.pdf) on page 27 it says this:

    CPU VCore LoadLine
    This item sets VCore LoadLine.
    Options: Enabled (Default) / Disabled / 87.5% LoadLine / 75.0% LoadLine /
    62.5% LoadLine / 50.0% LoadLine / 37.5% LoadLine / 25.0% LoadLine
    / 12.5% LoadLine

I'm currently on P67AF103.BST (dated 01/03/11) and when I select CPU VCore LoadLine I only see disable or enable, none of the options mentioned above.

Is this an issue, or am I doing something wrong ?

I see. I guees the only thing that would matter to me here is the 8 vs. 10 phase design. What did you manage in the UD4? I am curious whether you can achieve better clocks in the Biostar at all.

I have a few gripes with the biostar and have had some pretty bad luck with it. I see that the profiles are being taken care of. It would be nice to have the option to lower bclk.

Other than that, I've had bad luck clocking chips with this board. I originally bought the P8P67 and a 2500k and got about 5.3ghz on it and then sold the combo. I originally wanted the biostar but it was not available. Then I picked up another 2500k and the biostar. I could barely break 5ghz with it. Then I sold the chip and bought a 2600k. Once again I could barely break 5ghz. Now either I have some bad luck with chips, or this biostar isn't working out very well. So yesterday I picked up the msi gd-65 and managed 5.3ghz out of the same chip.

eyegoo! Name gt should I get the tp67xe or can I get similar clocks off the th67xe? I like the th67xe since the x16/x4 i have a raid card and I dont want to cap my vga at x8/x8. Im watching the vid now. th55xe was one of my fav boards last year.

tp67 runs at 8x/8x when you have both x16 slots populated.
th version runs at full 16/4x but lacks in power phase.
hey DUMO! nice to see you in here buddy. lets bench soon.
