Anyone here running their OC with C-States and EIST enabled so that voltages/multi drop on idle? If so, did you have to step up vcore just a notch or two to keep stable with the same OC with them disabled?

I run with both of those enabled and it does seem like I have to run at a higher voltage than normal to remain stable. I have never tried testing stability with those turned off.

    I am currently running 4.7ghz @ 1.36v

Ok, thanks. At least I know it is possible, which I thought anyways since I think stasio does it. I think the ticket might be 1.332v BIOS with LLC 4 which should give me 1.344v idle and 1.356 load.

    Need a little help.
Today I turned on my computer with the GA-P67A-UD4-B3 board and it would just restart over and over again, so I took out one stick of ram and it booted up but I can't get dual channel. I've had this board for a couple of weeks and it was running fine. Seem's that if you put a stick of ram in the fourth slot now it will not boot but just restarts over and over again. Computer boots if I have ram in slots 1 and 2 but that's single channel mode. I'm testing the two sticks of CORSAIR Vengeance 2x2GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM 1600 but so far no errors.
Big question, did the fourth slot just up and die?

You can use any combination with slot 1 and 2 and she boots. Any combination involving slot 3 and 4 and she just turns on and off continually.
This morning I changed the TIM on my HSF and after that this problem arises. When I went to bed last night she was ok.

While you're in there may also want to check to make sure no debris got down in your RAM slots blocking a connection to one of the pins. Never know.

Also, I think using slots 2/4 are the preference for only 2 sticks...Falkentyne would know better on that one.

It's still going into the repeating on and off if you put a ram stick in either slot 3 or 4. I reseated the cpu and used compressed air in the ram slots.
I'm starting to think it might be RMA time which really doesn't sound good to me cause of the long wait to get the new board.

I am thinking about installing Windows 8 when the beta comes out next month. Does anyone here have experience with this motherboard using Windows 8?

Latest beta BIOS is suggested for all P67/Z68 users because those updates address boot loop issues at startup via updating the Intel ME firmware (I always thought this was an Intel issue, not Gigabyte)

So anyone reading this, please pass it along to all P67/Z68 users

Yes, many users have reported back that these updates have fixed booting issues for them, so don't be scared to try it out. I'd suggest you also update your backup BIOS to match, and be sure you load optimized defaults and save/apply/reboot back to BIOS and then make any changes you need. Here's how to update the backup BIOS, thanks Dino, I link this at least 4-5 times a week!

I might try these out over the weekend. Once I upgraded to F6 final, all of the problems I was experiencing overclocking have disappeared, so I may just stay where I am. I have never experienced a cold booting issue with any BIOS version for whatever reason.

Well since you are not having any issues then it's up to you if you want to update, I'd suggest it personally just for the other fixes or improvements that may be included, but it's up to you.

Keep in mind you can always roll back to older BIOSes if you don't like the new ones!

    I haven't heard, but I haven't asked for a while either

Probably not though, as they'll want to hold off for the main segment of users to jump on board with Z77 and that will be a selling point. Plus they already put all that work and effort into touch BIOS, so I kinda doubt it.
