I've got an L051-something (can't find the pic i took) and thought I'd flick TPU on for some auto action before getting stuck into it.

When using auto tune, it's being generous with the vcore as usual right? Hopefully I can get another 400mhz out of it.

Edit: Pretty sure my batch is what aussie-revhead posted: L051A954

Lets hope so I'm testing 1.3v a little more and loading all 4 cores with BOINC. If she doesn't BSOD after a hour or so I'll move on to 48x/49x, and the magical 50x

Yeah that looks generous to me as well.. should be able to hit 4.5GHz at least with 1.3v.

Right out of the box, if it can boot to windows @ 54X with 1.60Vcore air, then theres a good chance it will go >55X

Most of 2600K will do 53X

How long do you expect these to last at 1.6v?

I have two 2600K's - one is maxed at 47x and the other 52x, its a shame this is such a game of roulette. Im looking for number three now, just have to find a decent batch (if that matters)

When are we going to start to be afraid the vcore will just kill the CPU during booting? 1.60V, 1.65V or 1.70V?

I only use 1.6Vcore as a reference vcore to see if cpu can pass 54X wall and boot to windows. It will stuck at blinking cursor if it won't

1.6v will kill most 32nm CPUs in a VERY short time. Even 1.45v is pushing it on 32nm.

Are there no other voltages/settings u have to change for 54x?
Mine can boot at 53x but 102x53 won't boot at all.(blinking cursor)
    101.5x53 is ok, but 101.6x53..nope

I think I might have to find the funds for a 2600k... My 2500k isn't exactly a slouch @ 4.7GHz, but I wanna try and hit 5GHz with low vcore (1.38v-ish) and thats not happening on this 2500k. About 1.33v is as low as it can go for 4.7 to be stable.

I should of clarified. Depending on cooling, 1.6v will kill most 32nm CPUs fast. Anyway, take a look around. These 32nm chips are dying with less than 1.6v in some cases.

Watercooling, not chilled, quite warm room.

1.7v is about limit on air, going above is likely to be lethal.... 1.65v is a nice 24/7 solution if having a decent cooler.

By decent cooler I hope your talking decent water setup, or at the very least Noctua NH-D14. Anything less attempting to run 1.65v 24/7 on a SB chip will be suicide. Even then, I wouldn't hold faith in the chip lasting at that voltage.

Now surfing and typing this message at 5.4 (54X100) @ 1.48 in BIOS with Intel PLL overvoltage OFF and HT ON!

    http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1640461

I was able to boot at 5.5 (55X100) bot got some errors in Prime really fast.

Afraid to go over 1.5v. I'm a sissy.

If that chip would do 5,4 without PLL overvoltage, that would be pure magic, unfortunately that can't be true

Wow! 54x with PLL voltage overide... disabled.?? Looks like a strong one! What batch#?? Just being able to get into Windows at 55x is excellent. The chip might do 56x(+).

He has a good chip but i really can't see the reason primming at 1.5 instead of giving it 1.6v and make some benches...You are sending it to cemetery faster with prime instead of benching
