Honeymoon in NY and Las Vegas...

    Hey Gents.

I’m getting married 30 April this year.

Me and my soon to be wife <<--- Avatar
Have decided to go to the states for our honeymoon.

We will stay 6 days in New York and 3 Days in Las Vegas

So I was hoping to get some advice on, what us tourists from Denmark should go see???

I have been "given" permission to meet up with some of you XS guys. :p

Mostly because the GREAT trip we had to Bangkok a few years back, to visit Zolkorn, such a cool experience. We had the best meal of our 14 day vacation with Zolkorn in Bangkok

So why not repeat the success and visit some of you long time friend’s ???

Fugger hasn’t replied yet, I guess he really doesn’t love me after all HAHHA.

Give me some advice on what you think the newly weeded couple should see as first timers in the states.....

Thx in advance for your advice.

Check out the Voodoo Lounge in the Rio while you're in Vegas. It's a rooftop lounge. Preferably arrive before sundown and plan to stay until the sun goes down. I went to a party up there while I was in Vegas, you get a fantastic few of the town and the Witch Doctor's they server there are fun drinks.
Dual CCIE (Route\Switch and Security) at your disposal. Have a Cisco-related or other network question? My PM box is always open.

Well we have never been in US, we don't want to lay on the beach, we did that a few years back in Thailand. Well most of the time was spent visiting places and going on trips.

We wanted to go do some skiing, but that will be to late in the season.

You must visit Hoover Dam when you get to Las Vegas. It is less than an hour's drive from the Strip.

If you can get into tours, there might be some Hoover Dam + Grand Canyon combo packages. Some might offer Helicopter tours, but watch your wallet for that one, it can get expensive.

+1 on Grand Canyon, I highly suggest to stay
overnight, most romantic sunset then sunrise, then back to LV for buffet.

NY, take carriage ride thru Central Park, cab ride to Serendipity for chocolate experience---look she's smiling already

There is a ton of stuff you can do in New York: Broadway show, TV show taping (not sure what is still taped in NY. Definitely Dave Letterman), comedy show, awesome restaurants, serendipity's (hint of advice: get there early cause the wait gets ridiculous. I went there at 6pm and there was a 3hr wait). The limiting factor is gonna be how much you can / want to spend

yeah if yur in las vegas for 3 days definitely go see the Hoover dam or go off-road buggy driving or something, maybe even some shows...vegas can get stale pretty fast im not much of a gambler myself

i stayed at the MGM grand.... the pool there is awesome

also had dinner on the top of the Palms at Nove Italiano... very romantic Italian restaurant...you want to impress her take her there ....well u must have already plus the view is awesome and playboy club is up stairs hehe

also asking taxi drivers or hotel services/managers for info and coupons on whats going on that night, whats playing, where the hot clubs are etc. helps alot plus u give like a small tip when u check in gives u a upgraded hotel room 20-30 US is enough.

    cheers

Puhhh its hard climatising to the time difference, we have been here since tuesday and I still get sleepy once in a while

So far we have been using the Metro for most our transportation, TAXI is just slow and Its guite a struggle to understand the english some of the them use :p

We have had some amazing food so far.
And went out on a shopping spree in this place called Woodbury Common Premium outlets, WOW was that cheap
Levis pants where about 1/5 of the Danish price, same with some shoe brands.
    Even I found it funny.

Then we did a bus tour today and shot 300-400 pictures and found HC Anderson statue in the central park.
    A DANE

We wanted to go out and have some beer and dance a bit, but havent had time to find anyone here from New York
So if you read this, and you will be going out tonigth or tomorrow write/send a PM

It just not the same without anyone local

    Monday we go to Vegas
