Isn't Device ID # wrong ? 6970 should be 1002-6718 and 6950 1002-6719.. it would be better to see before-after performance results at same frequencies..

I have an HIS 6950 in the mail so I can test this out once it arrives. Does this mean that the 6950 is just a crippled 6970?

Old 3d mark score was x1100

New 3d mark score is x1789

Clocks are the same, as far as I can tell it works, seems there is no laser cut

    Its a HIS 6950

Btw guys, i get artifacting in ati tool scanner, quite badly. But in all the benchmarks i've run i haven't seen any

My 6950 never artifacted in the scanner. I tried lower clocks, 6950 speeds, still artifacted. But i haven't seen any in game

Ran it for a good 10-15 minutes as well, no artifacting. I remember it being a good tool to test my 4890 core with, but same with ati tool gpu tool tester is hotter though, more on terms with furmark etc.
