hey Holst,
i can't believe that nobody posted this... NF7-S v2.0 vdimm mod Mickey Mouse's style...
Hi there,
once I made a 2,0V-Vcore-mod for the NF7-S Rev.1.1 (which was limited to 1,85V) and posted it here.
Two issues:
1. The whole thing is in german.
2. I removed the pictures since I'm permanently lacking of webspace and it's of no more interest because rev. 2.0 doesn't suffer of this limitation.
If someone want's these photos (according to historical interest oder whatever) drop me a line - the mail address is mentioned in my profile.
I just wanted to let you know this because my mod was based on some hacks for other mobos published in this forum and, btw: Thx for your great work!
Regards cdk
If you want to repost it on the forum (and host the pics here) then we can revive the guide if you want.Originally posted by cdk

I just made a webpage dedicated to a my Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000-L voltage mod. I used a little different of a setup though. I have seen similar to this though I think on a Japanese or taiwanese website.

The NF7 vdimm mod link is dead now. I don't like the motherboardfaq one at all. I came across this one: http://downloads.modlabs.net/bios/pic/abits.jpg
This looks awesome, but I can find no explaination go along with it. I am pretty sure the VMEM would go to whatever your 3.3V line is, but what would the VDD go to?

I think this mod directly feeds the vdd mosfet with 5v .. don't think it wil cause a higher vdd but more stable (I'm just guessing)..

Hmm - is there a problem with VDD stability on NF7-S? I was never aware of it.
What about the VMEM mod - is it feeding pure 3.3V to the memory as well? That also looks to be going to only one of the slots - I am assuming it's raising the voltages for all of them?

I've seen the same mod on some intel boards.. I'd suggest to do this mod to all of the slots were you put memory in..
I don't know if you need to cut the original connection to that pin, I've never tried the mod myself..
I don't think tat there are stability issues with the Vdd, but I can't imagine that just by soldering a 5v wire somewhere your vdd will be higher, and if it would be higher, how much, and how you can control it..?
