    Did I damage my mobo????

Removing the i7 CPU and the corner of the cpu caught on the top surface of where it sits in the receptacle and now I can see there is a small mark in the wires. It is the top surface of the motherboard cpu insert not bottom of cpu itself.

Did I damage it definitely? Does this wire base on which they sit have a purpose? Its not the middle area.

Here pik attached... Am I screwed?

I can see a bent pin, you could try to move it back to place. And yeah, definitely got a purpose xD

Will I damage my CPU by trying to put it back on and seeing if it works properly?

If it's in the correct spot hopefully it will boot, if it refuses to post time for a new socket... I didn't damage a CPU yet due to a bent pin...
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

it's really hard to see on the pic, it looks like the pin is not there?

if it's bent, bend it back to it's place before firing up your cpu, it's easy to do, just be careful and gentle

I bent it back but I can still see a mark. The question is does each one of those pins serve a separate function or do they all serve the same. Also, what junction do they serve? Power?

Thats why I asked if all of those contacts side by side serve the same function. If they do I am ok I am sure but if they havent different purposes, trouble...
