Just wait for it to connect. Make sure you have your network settings right, ie if you use a proxy make sure that's in the client settings, if you use a firewall make sure boinc.exe (I'm assuming you're running Windows) has access.

Got it. Under "activity" I had to set Run Always and Network Activity always available, whoops haha. Thanks.
