Black PCPC 750W Quad Silencer (Refurb) $39.99

old school power for $40. 80 PLUS rated (reviews indicate closer to BRONZE) with 60A on the single 12V rail. 2x 6pin PCI-E and 2x 6+2pin PCI-E. 8pin 12v and LOTS of SATA and such...

I just received MINE and ordered a second one just to have

I assume they don't have many more in stock...

Cheap shipping, no sales tax to California. Rec'd in 3 days from Texas.

IMHO Waste is a computer going to a landfill having done actual computations less than 90% of it's life. 90% of the computers powered on right now are idle or powered off; what a waste! [/B]

Is it a coincidence that your wifes pc is called Uranus?

yup and the 750 QUAD is one of the older models so it's still a REAL PCPC.

    I didn't know that... but that's a great thing considering a SS X750 is $150!!!
And I've read several reviews... this thing is RECOMMENDED in every review.

    Here is Jonny's review:

    http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php...=Story&reid=63

That is the crossfire version, but the same psu just different name and case. I always try and see if Jonny has reviews of the psu I am looking at because I trust their reviews and all the guys there are very thorough. Hardware secrets has also been doing a good job with PSU reviews.

Enjoy your PCP&C Charlie! I know I will enjoy mine!

haha Don't you love how that works!

First you buy the PSU so you have the headroom because the crappy 400W psu you're using now just won't cut it IF you add a nice GFX card "In the future" you say to yourself...

Then you get it... and man.... you're just not stressing it enough! Now you have all this headroom... Not to mention the fact that you aren't even loading 60-75%.. Which means efficiency is down atleast 2-5%... Well heck now you just HAVE to add some components to properly extract the most efficient power delivery

    This game is fun haha

I bought two from here in November. Fast shipping and reasonable.

    Nice find Charlie.
I have one and it has never let me down.

Hardware Secrets overloaded it to 868w and it still was 80% efficient.

Hardware secrets said it was pretty quiet until they overloaded it (above rated).
Mine's always quieter than my video card...

I ordered one the other day.... Should be here soon. I don't need it, but it is one of those things that I will eventually and if I can get it for dirt now, might as well.

lol I'm stocked up on PSUs, just built my brother a system using an Antec NeoHE 550w. Also have two Enhance 80+ 500w, and my Antec Neo Eco 620W PSU that is in my main rig.

But I'm still going to order this, LOL.
