he is running in SLI mate and 01 does actually work in SLI but GPUz does show disabled
01 is heavily CPU based though and only really nature and CH will show more GPU boost at those clocks on SB
jack just ran his straight but if he ran a specific test order he would get a better score and would be owning us with that CPU clock
ive done some tests at 5.2GHz and you can see how much of a hit i take compared to cowie running at 5.44
this is in SLI mode too
still can't figure out why the 16x are so close together... maybe in 1.1 they can make 3rd slot 16/8? if the traces are there.
I am still losing my OC after wake in f7e.
just a nice simple 46X multi. turbo off, all else on auto. On wake (s3) it doesn't go all the way to 34X... it goes to 43X any ideas?
I actually think the PCI-E spacing is pretty good, it enables you to use 3 cards and also enables you to use a pci port when running SLI. if they did enable the last slot to do 16x as well as 8x that woudl be nice but it woudl take a lot more than just adding pins, the PCI-E layout would need to be re-engineered, then what would they do with all the old boards?
Trying all the 3dmarks with the new rig. Ran 03 tonight at 5300mhz, cards at 1001/1275. Having a lot of fun, nice to be able to play at 5ghz+ for a change.

Ah damn, everyone is just running the game tests!! I'll have to rerun my tests and see what i can get. I've been running the full suite lol!
I'm on HWbot and watching people get like 18 to 20k with the same setup with lower frequencies. I'm like WTF, i'm running 250 to 300 Mhz more on the CPU and about 40 to 50 Mhz more on both GPU core and GPU mem and i'm getting a lower score.

Guys i'm about to buy a new motherboard (after recall of course) and i don't know what to pick, if the UD7 or the MIVE. I wanted to go with the UD7 but i don't know why, playing games which is going to be the main utility for this build, is where ud7 does worse against competition. I saw lots of reviews and i don't know why in some games the frames the disparity is so big. In CPU performance is unbeatable, and not just in UD7 but other gigabyte models as well, because some may want to point the finger to the NF200 lag.
I don't want to sound like i'm defending the UD7, because i'm not, but what reviews are you talking about and do you have a link (I'm also interested in seeing the results).
The reason i ask is that if one motherboard is more efficient than the other it would usually mean an increase of performance by 1 or 2 frames ie. less than 2%.
I can understand the appeal of the Asus board as it's a fantastic looking board, but i couldn't imagine the performance increase to be that big that it would be worth your time, effort and money.

Maximus board also has a Nf200 along with the Ud7, if your running SLI i'd go either one of those
Another thing I find funny is AMD/Intel would snipe any of our Moms on a grocery run if it meant good quarterly results, and you are forever whining about what feser did?
This are the reviews i have been watching. Probably i think i over reacted in my words previously, because most of the time the difference is aproximatly less then 2%. I think this came over to my mind, because the UD7 usually isn't the winner in the reviews, and sometimes because i'm to nit picky with numbers (i wasn't calculating % of difference) which may helped what i thought previously.

http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/375...d/index10.html - This one i can't compare this
because its another platform, but the results are weird.
http://www.bjorn3d.com/read.php?cID=1982&pageID=10050 ~3,5% less in Crysis
After reading this and see everything what i've seen, i'm going to buy both of them, and the one that performs better will stay @ house.
PS: THere is another review which i haven't posted at kingpinCooling. Go the and check it out.
All of them favor MIVE

Well i think that for 3d bencher in sli/cf its good to have 2 x16 slots gt4 does notice. i have more cpu and slightly tigher rams but easy 6-7k more with the cards in proper spots.
01 was ok for 1k more too @ identical speeds.
1 x16 1 x8
both x16 (yes more cpu but gains mostly from gt4)

A little update...
C3/C6 didn't help.
Let the PC idle all night on optimized default and all was good.
Back to the load stable x47 settings and couldn't stay in windows for more than 30 sec. No BSODs but freezing. Tried the RAM modules 1 by 1 and on Auto settings (1333), tried all kind of voltages, nothing helps, freezing in 30 sec. It's like x47 don't wanna play at all now.
Now running x45 LLC Standard, everything on Auto and so far so good. If it survives for the next 24 hours with no lockups/BSODs I'll go back to x47 and see what it needs to run it.

I cant get your ram speeds atm(or maybe ever) all subs auto and set to turbo.
I'm telling ya D its the x8 slots on the ud5 i'v tested alot with the 16x x8 x4 slots in sli cf tbh its not much but its still noticeable especially 03.
shake your gigabyte guy down for a ud7.
oh crap i did not run exact cpu speeds and i had more vga ram speed sry ...but still 3%-4% in a bench that pull 180k+ it still alot.

i have dug through some pages but can't find my answer so i am asking...you all have a lot of pages going on here
is there any way to change CPU multi in windows? i have tried with the various settings in the BIOS, but ET6 won't ever change the multi.
this is key for me as my chip doesn't like booting with high multi. on the M4E i just used ROG Connect. any help?
also, today, i can't disable HT. F7e is the BIOS.
so far i have a whole pile of mixed feelings with this board. coming from the M4E, and only concentrating on benching, it is taking much longer
to get anywhere with the UD7...but i am going to give it time.
Yeah Jody it takes a bit pf patience but once you get used to it it is a good benching board. It makes life a lot easier if you flash the backup BIOS so the board doesnt revert back to F3 on every freeze or reboot. That gets annoying fast. AFAIK there is no way to change the multi in windows
I would also stick with F7e, it is the best in my experience. Mine lets me disable HT or use less cores but that gives me more instability than having it enabled.

i got HT disabled, i had to save and exit from the same screen as changing it.
i finally have the CPU up to speed at 5.4GHz with less than 1.5v, and i have found out how to get 105BCLK to boot now...kind of ass backward, but it works.
so i am definitely making progress. then every now and then the board just shuts down and goes through a C1 loop. it resets all CPU configuration settings and goes off to play in the woods by itself with a hatchet.
the M4E is far more predictable, and no real games were involved to get it working with this same hardware. but if i can get the Hypers working on 2133 with this board, it will all pay off
oh, and for ET6, have you installed the Intel Engine Management stuff? that will allow you to change BCLK and what not
@Zac, yeah, on F7e and backup flashed.
haha yea I didnt know wtf was wrong with et6, I kept trying different versions and none worked but with intel engine management it works fine.
