Nice scores and OC guys! Keep pushing it!

Beside, I have a huge doubt. I have the possibility to buy for the same price ($489) an MSI GTX 570 or a MSI GTX 480 Lightning, wich should I get? I just cant decide for my own on this one

    Pekalion.

thats a hard call,it really is.

I think performance wize, they are roughly the same or not a lot of differance...more of a side by side upgrade.

but hey, who am I to talk I went to a 580 from a 480 and I like that change, not a major upgrade, small performance increase.. but some

Yes, its actually one of the most complex upgrades in my life :p

In the benchmarks, wich is better? Also for OC. Maybe this two things could make the choice a little bit easy.

As for overclocking on air i'd go with the 570,if hardcore clocks and fancy ln2 cooling is your thing get the Lightning.
Even with the tiny bit of less ram I'd give the nod to the 570 for only one reason it might be the better gamer/air benching card thats easier to live with.

What no 1 got a 570? were all the overclocks?
    (and the hardmods lol)
trying to find a pencil mod for rams i'll post back if i get lucky

Does the stock unisink that comes with the gtx 570 still fit without the thermal pads? I'm planning on using tim instead for better performance.

Mine was running 850 core 1150 ram until today, when it decided it wants to artifact even at stock ram speed

How are you guys managing to get beyond the 1.100v limit in MSI afterburner, I tried the unlocker and when trying to save the config file it wont let me.
I really need more volts, have some artifacts at 900 so reckon it needs a little more juice.

What kind of speeds can you guys run through the heaven benchmark at, I can't even run 830/1900 without increasing from stock voltages
It also might be my imagination but I think I see artifacts all the time on this card since the day I got it, and at stock frequencies

send those cards that arti at stock speeds back.
well we cant unlock anything but as you look around the net there sure is alot of 570's runing 1g+ with water/cold air and volts.

BTW in my first post is an unlocked to 1.21v evga standard 570 bios it may be what some of you guys need to help hit 950+.
remember you should set fan to max when adding volts.
