I joined really late. You can get about 20,000 in Chips right now if you do everything.

Have you done the videos? You just watch Johnathan Wendel (Fatal1ty) talk about his mouse and his house in Las Vegas and they are 2k chips each. There are 5 or 6 of them.

HAHA, I'm curious for those of you that have cranked up the Penryn up higher and stayed there, such as running 3.6Ghz or 3.8Ghz day in and day out, does overclocking ability hold, or does the ability erode that requires additional vCore over time?

Totally banking on this one, got a friend who's been a member for years now and always hooks me up. Got the last deal for an i7 940 for $150, definately picking up the 970. Not going to sell it for $600 off the bat(like some people already have).

Nice marketing strategy from Intel too, keeps the resale market pricing down without having to reduce the stock price.

I have the 970 and the SSD coming my way thanks to this deal. Now the question is to sell my 920 or keep the 970.

well i ordered a 960 pretty good deal still only $100 for a sweet CPU.

and you know i have been running my Q6600 on WCG 24/7 since i got it at these clocks for the longest time with temps in the low 70's 24/7 and never once has it given me an issue. i have never had to back it down and i have never once noticed a slow down or anything, I also run a E6750 and E6600 at over 1.5volts and they just keep trucking along without issue. the only chips I have ever seemed to damaged by running to high with to high of volts were some 939 AMD chips which may still be fine and it just being a matter of failing mobos

    That's not true.

You can get about 31k if you do everything in there. The TRUE downside is that it takes 6-8 hours lol

    Hardly.

In fact, IREP reps are starting to crack down on members suspected of trying to sell these parts. Your friend risks being kicked out of the program if caught, so I wouldn't go around bragging too loudly.

IREP terms and conditions clearly state:

The Holiday Deal is a benefit of program membership. As such, any item(s) purchased in the Holiday Deal are for the qualified participant’s personal use and not intended for resale.

Got my bundle on Friday and had one hell of time getting the SSD up and running. But I got that sorted popped in the 970 and was about to start overclocking when I found out that my ram might be defective!!!!! Ugh.. I have a B batch 970 that I really wanted to test out and see how it clocked. Anyone else got a 970 from this deal yet and tried oc'ing it at all?

Not yet, how long did it take for your order to ship? Mine's sitting at about a week right now, no tracking or shipping details yet.

Did get Civ 5 which I'll probably give away/sell/bundle with another FS item.

Aver whats your full batch #?

I will get the batch # when I get home as I forget it off the top of my head :p

I ordered mine on the 9th of December and I believe they sent out the shipment on the 14th/15th and it arrived on Friday the 17th. From what I understand they are using UPS 3-day shipping for the bundles.

CIV 5 is a download code that you get when you purchase. Its on the Intel Bundle page as a link to a PDF you download with the steam key to get the game.

This is exciting news to me! I haven't been able to find a ton of OC information for 970's, and I was mainly hoping to be able to get mine to run at 4GHz 24/7 on an H70 According to a few reviews they aren't great overclockers, so this gets my hopes up!

160blk at 1.325V yields a 4Ghz OC with temps under 65ºC. It's under a Cooler Master Hyper 212+ at the moment, just think what the WC loop in my sig would put it at.

    I'm insanely happy with it!!!
