Since Simon was nice to let us use a Vantage run, then I get to now post my current config's Vantage Score. This is a 24/7 desktop for Virtual Machines, Gaming, File Storage, Media Encoding, so no major tweaks.

The Ambient Temp is 79F in my apartment, everyone has their heat on below me so I get to save money by not having to run mine at all, it just gets a bit warm sometimes.

AFter all the extreme benching it feels weird to post a 24/7 rig

CPU cooled by Corsair H50, load temps = 56 C, idle temps = 40 C

CPU volts = 1,45 V
NB volts = 1,325 V

since I cannot get 3dmark 11 working, I began with a little Vantage run. This on 10.11 drivers

In house ambients 78*F (25.5*C)
Garage Ambients 37*F (3*C)
Single 5850 Stock Air cooled
NB volts = 1.25v
CPU volts = 1.51v

Well after extensive testing, SLI is not working unless you use a specific driver ( which only works with officially supported SLI )

Yes you get a score, but it's not scaling.

SLI hack not working with said driver.

Lucid it appears needs drivers to support it.

That all said lets see what makes this bench tick.

Default run.

I Should note Physics will be off for all of this, physics results don't count anyway



Adding ram speed seems to have a rather significant impact gaining over 100 points.



Will continue to update as I measure scaling.

NB up 1000mhz is about equal to what we saw with ram scaling.



CPU up 1000mhz carries the most weight so you will not be wanting to sacrifice core clocks for NB/Ram on AMD.



Now i just need working software to push this vga......

I'm still having trouble with 3dmark11, managed to complete one run immediately after turning off sysinfo in the help tab. But now it is refusing to cooperate again, so I can't crank up the vid card. Just as well, as I have another 5850 on the way.

Just lit the woodstove, so it's still cool. Not that it makes much difference at the settings I used.

After a frustrating day I managed to pull off the best score on the ORB for AMD.

Lucid is disabled ( not working ) quite a few hacks to get to this point.
