AMD cpu that will do 4GHz on 64 bit?

Sorry people I've been out of the OC thing for a little while now and would like some recommendations for a AM3 cpu that will do this If any?

I've got the 955 oc'd to 3.8 and have had It at 3.9-4. While 3.9 Is mostly stable 4 Is a no go for stability. I'm using the 790FX GD 70 with 4 gigs.

I've heard the new chips will do this but I'd like to here from you guys.

Every X2/X4 C3 chip I've worked with has been good for 4ghz. My 1090t went to 4.2ghz easy and once that rigs back-up I'm gonna push it further.

    TBC, isn't your CPU-NB a bit high for 24/7?

My 955/1055T/840T's CPU-NB voltage are all on 1.35v, for almost one year, so it should be fine.

the default on my 1090 is 1.4V so i dont think that 1.35 will kill it

My CPU NB is 1.2 on the CH IV, think your MSI is the issue... runs happily at 2750 at 1.3
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

Yeah, I'm at 3GHz 1.3v and with the same board (790FX-GD70) and a 1055T I'm getting 1.2v as the default

I was under the impression that 1.35v was about the safe limit.

Yeah, I'm talking about Thuban. I thought 1.35v for Thuban and 1.4/1.45v for Deneb?

    I think +- yes for 24/7 with aircooling (CPU-NB voltage) . For benchmarking a bit higher (1.4V Thuban/1.5V Deneb)

You could just have a bad CPU, my 965 did 4 Ghz on water with 1.55v, wouldn't hit 4 Ghz on air at all. Stopped at 3.85...and this is 32-bit.

On water it isn't to hard to do with most of the Thubans. On Air, if good enough, this is also possiable. I've seen some interesting results lately.

The voltage limit isn't about temperature... I've pushed 1.5v (CPU-NB instead of CPU) through it by accident without seeing a big temperature increase.

6'c isn't a big difference, and it sure isn't safe for 24/7 even though it's relatively cool.
