    Quick question about TR3X6G1600C8D Tri-Channel

Hey everyone, I finally upgrade to the i7 platform from a q6600 and couldn't be happier.

I have 6x2gb of the the Corsair Dominator TR3X6G1600C8D ram, and yesterday they were running in trichannel just fine.

Today, after I reseated the heatsink.. my memory only seem to run in dual channel. I didn't touch the ram or anything, so I am confused to what has happened. Is there a specific way to set tri-channel? I've searched google and I didn't find what I was looking for. Any feedback would be most appreciated!

    Tri channel should be automatic.
My guess is you bumped one of the DIMMs and it's not showing properly OR you overtightened the HS and one of the registers under the chipset has too much pressure on it to read properly.
If your using something like a TRUE HS use just enough pressure to keep from turning it by hand.
No need to bottom out the screws when tightening down.
    Good Luck.
