Thanks, just got my big rig back up with the gtx580, and another gtx580 will be up in a day or two hopefully. We could use some help. XS is only #60 for PrimeGrid and we'd love to move on up, right?

Mom is getting a bit pissed about the power recently, and she forced me to standby the rig whenever I am not using it...

I am trying to find a way around it

You should explain to her it's for a good cause and offer to chip in on the electric bill.

    Tell her to read this:
    Dear Mrs.123,
Your son lkiller is a very important member of the Xtreme Systems Distributed Computing Team. If you do not allow to him to participate competitively, we will never reach the Top 10 for this project! Currently we are ranked #60 and that is unacceptable for XSDC.

How awesome would it be for the utilities companies to give us a discount on electricity for crunching! I'll keep dreaming...

LOL I got the way around it..

Just pretend to let it go standby but actually I would just unplug the video card cable.
I can't wait for your new GTX580 to be here, we would seriously kick some @$$.

I will be going to a trip tomorrow, I'm trying to get a way to keep the rigs on.

Yeah, we're already kickin' some of that. Got my 2nd GTX580, but the first one died! DAMN!! It's only a couple weeks old so obviously under warranty still. No big deal, by now I'm quite used to waiting for RMAs. I'll be posting in the nVidia section maybe tomorrow about it. I think I recall reading about other 580s dying when they crunched for extended periods of time.... not gonna stop me from crunching again when I get it back though! My Core i7 machines are going to be off Wednesday thru Saturday this week unfortunately. Rearranging the room and I'll be working the Winter Classic hockey game here in Pittsburgh those four days. Should have it all back up by Sunday though. Gotta get the points I can over the next 24 hours.

Man, how long does it take Seventeen or Bust WUs to be validated? I've turned in 6 or 8 by now, and still none appear on my stats page. One of them was 302 hours of work, gotta be some points there.

Yes! Just back from Vegas and found that the rigs are still alive and crunchin'.

You can see that I can pump out more than 320k per day, and that's just with 2 GTX260s 24/7.
Already kicked your @$$, for today.

They should, and they are very good cards for this project since the WUs are very small compared to other CUDA projects.

Care to add some more infos?

Slaveondope: I heard that APP drivers is needed for OpenCL, give it a try.

Skycrane: Try to get those latest drivers, 192 is a bit old. I am running 260.

This is the link for 263.

Installed 10.12's and the 10.12 APP pack, disabled Xfire, suspended WCG, and still get 3 work unit's 2 error out in 2 seconds followed by the 3rd 2 seconds later :/

    Anyone here running a 58xx?

    EDIT:

Got it to run after forgetting to reboot from installing the APP drivers. It suspend's one WCG thread though not sure how I feel about that.

2 Proth Prime WU's in ~21 minutes net's 4,622 points soo thats hmm ~331K ppd PIE!

Hey gang. I'm back after spending four days working the Winter Classic NHL game here in Pittsburgh for the CBC. It was awesome. Hopefully, I can get this other machine up and firing. Happy New Year!

Hey folks, just started crunching prime grid. Using an ATI 5670. Haven't joined a team yet but willing to jump in with xtremesystems. I crunch WCG since 07 for Minnesota crunchers. Is the team listed as xtremesystems?

Never mind, found it. I'm in. May not be much but every little bit helps.

Hey guys, need some help. I'm getting periodic crashes. I did adjust the settings a bit higher and got more so went back to my defaults. Still getting a few. Is it the card or the wu doing this? I did reduce my CPU crunching by 1 process (16 to 15) to insure no conflict. Any help appreciated.

Are those driver crashes or complete system crashes?
