Buying Parts In Germany

Hi team,

I just moved to Germany from New Zealand and had to leave my i920/5870 behind. It's been two days and I'm already thinking about a new rig.

Only problem being that I have no clue where to go with regard to retailers.

In NZ we had a site called Pricespy which would give comparisons across e-tailers, is there a similar site which does the same for Germany? Can anyone recommend a store close to Landau which is reputable and reasonable in prices?

It's in German, so I'll translate a couple of words for you :

Festplatten = Harddrives
Speicher = Memory
Grafikkarten = Videocards
Optische Laufwerke = Optical drives, like DVD-RW etc...
Drucker = Printer
Luftkühlung = Aircooling
Wasserkühlung = Watercooling

When you click an item, you'll find all the stores that sell the product (called "Anbieter").
Händlerbewertung = Reseller rating.
Verfügbarkeit = Availability

Preise = Price (from lowest to highest)
Anbieter = Shop
Händlerbewertung = Reseller rating (the rating the store gets from customers. It's not a general rating, but it will give you a good idea if a certain store is OK to buy from or not. Ratings below 2.00 are good. Avoid shops with ratings above 3.00 or higher).
The lower the rating, the better the shop is.
Verfügbarkeit und Versand = Availability and shipping costs

About payments :

Vorkasse = Pay in advance (item will be shipped once the payment is in)
Nachname = COD (you pay the postman when he brings the package)

Some stores offer payment through CC. Check if no additional costs are asked when paying with CC.

Another well-known German hardware etailer is Alternate, I use it for most of my purchases, they're not the cheapest shop around but their service is excellent.
The site Jupiler linked is indeed the biggest German site for price comparison, that's good advice!
