If we have to RMA a BloodRAGE after a revision change takes place will we get a board with the new revision in exchange?

Nice mod, but Im kinda curious 1) what would happend if I get another resistor and solder it without removing that first and 2) how its possible that I've reached 225 BCLK with P07? If its limited to 220?

Looks very nice indeed, maybe iŽll test it tomorrow.. Is it hard to remove the resistor? How exactly did you do this?

no there not a rev change
seem bloodrage is EOL and only a few left in the world

but GTI and flammingblades will have the change
but hay Saaya how did you miss that one if you know of this mod why you not say

YMAA no rma will not fix for you
    sorry about this.

Mescalamba if you dont use the same resistor you may unset the pci-e and when you increase pci-e you get more bclk so can go above 220 and you just been lucky lol
people who know how to solder should try this, if you dont then do not touch

Desolder and solder again.. You need tools for that. Not sure how its properly called in English, but its same tool used for soldering. Its not hard, just take-off battery or use battery discharge jumper. Plus that tool must not put any electricity into board.. and you need to be careful ofc..

So I have to RMA my board, default voltage is jumping around, since the Blood Rage is at EOL, will they be able to fix it or replace it?

As far as the mod goes, if I understand it correctly, you remove the resistor from location 128 and install it to location 125. Has anyone on here done this besides the OP? If so, do have better pics of the before and after, the originals seem to be a little small to see the details.

Do you mean you've totally stopped manufacturing Bloodrage boards?
Does it mean there will never be Bloodrage with B3 chipset? Since I haven't seen anyone with x58-B3 based Bloodrage...

all board have 3 years warrenty
even when they are EOL, the bloodrage GTI is still going and i will say it will have a B3 chipset when we use up all the B2 lol
that is how all the board manafuctor do it.

whats wrong with the pic on benchtec they very very clear
and once you look at the board you will find
yes i've done the mod on two board and may be doing it on 80 more of them lol

voltage jumping about were you getting that remember before g25 the intel code was doing that to the cpu and seem it normal but people did not like which is why G25 come out

Yeah, just so we are clear, the voltage isn't jumping around, the default vcore of the chip will go from 1.23v down to 1.13v. It doesn't happen immediately, just after an hour or so. It wouldn't be an issue, except that when I set my voltages I set them from the 1.23v vcore, so when it lowers the default vcore it becomes unstable. Then when I go into the bios, the settings are still working off the 1.23v vcore, i.e. if I add .8mv it still sets it to 1.29v vcore as the target vcore even though the default has dropped to 1.13v. This wasn't happening before, hence why I thought I would have to RMA it. I thought I might have a bad flash, but I have reflashed it several times and that hasn't fixed the issue. I will try G25 again to see if that fixes the issue.

    Thanks

As suggested, this is only for experienced vmodders who can handle a soldering iron. This was pretty new territory to me, i've done a few gfx cards but nothing this small yet.

    Better pics

Yikes!! They are tiny!! Thanks for the closeup pics r1ch. I just saw @ Benchtec that a 15W iron would be the better option...hmmmm smallest I have is 35W, looks like a trip to the hardware store when I get home. Any results yet r1ch? And @ Lord Trident...will a future bios update do the same thing or is this mod the only way to achieve the higher pcie?

Thank you r1ch for the updated picks. Gives me a better idea of what I have to do. Definetely want to see your results r1ch.

As far as my PSU being the issue, I have two other boards and I do not have this issue with them.
