Wow thats a pretty impressive demo especially with the power consumption with the extra load, I wonder though how the Llano compares with SB when completely idle.

EDIT: I saw at start of the demos without any apps loaded, SB with 33.9W and Llano with 29.0W, that is not bad I must admit.

    Very nice indeed!

Llano with its superior GPU power will do well in the mainstream laptop/desktop market.

    6620M hummmm

6630M has 480 pipes so 6620M will be high clocked 400 pipes. The performance will sure be above AMD Radeon HD 6570M "Better than 5650M". 6310M is slower compared to 6330M because of lacking hardware support but then why is 6620M so bloody fast. We already know the impact of high speed DDR3 on Zacate GPU performance maybe its the same here.

Laptops with super high speed ram is what the doctor ordered, anyone have any idea when are these gonna come out in terms of months and not quarters??

Graphics performance is obviously better. But how many people are going to run i7 2xxx without a discrete GPU?
I think the comparison is simply not very fair.
Llano will be a better option without a discrete GPU, and this is going to result in better battery life. Core i7 2xxx, on the other hand, is better suited for heavier DTR systems with discrete GPUs.
At least that's how I see it...

Businesses by far do that. Out company buys Dell Core i5 and i7 PCs with no discrete graphics all the time. Businesses need CPU power over gaming buddy. Llano adds the possibility of bringing good OpenCL performance into the business world in an affordable way. It is a great product.

If you'd add a discrete CPU the power draw be at least 20-30W higher - you'd have to severly downclock the Intel quad (or use a dual-core) to attain similar wattage.

Looks like AMD finally may be competive in the laptop market.

since were hearing after BD, its quite safe to assume no earlier than July,
unfortunately this means they might not make it in time for the back to school rush of August (in terms of laptop variety). but should hopefully make quite a spectacular bang come next holiday season.

so while things will be available in good quantity by sept/oct, i think nov is when the really cool stuff will be out

    Yeah, OK.
I wasn't talking about OEM market, though. Totally not interesting for ordinary consumers, IMO... But yeah, sale volumes are huge there.
