You can buy a docsis 3 linksys refurb modem for like $120 on amazon. Just a matter of time before they start dropping more.

I'm guessing 4 internal antennas mean 2 for 2.4GHz and 2 for 5.0GHz 802.11n? If this weren't a modem as well I think I would be disappointed (I'm a huge fan of the 3x3), but dual-band on an all-in-one is actually quite decent. I'd like to see Broadcomm back up the 5Gb/s throughput of their switching chip, but it should be decent regardless, certainly good enough. Not requiring a bridge chip to the CPU is definitely going to be a plus. With 128MB Flash + 128MB RAM, also decent. Dual core CPU is a nice touch, but speed seems a bit lower than I would have thought.... may be offset by architecture change from what I'm expecting though, and that counts for a lot.

It's not a home run as far as hardware goes, but for its segment there's nothing wrong with it and it has some features that will give it a bit of a leg up. Software is going to be a big part of its success, but Netgear has a fair track record so far.
Dual CCIE (Route\Switch and Security) at your disposal. Have a Cisco-related or other network question? My PM box is always open.
