Same argument applies though. The architecture isn't targeted solely at games so gaming perf/mm isn't a very useful metric when evaluating the architecture as a whole. Unless of course you want to judge it based on what you think it should be (gaming focused) and not what it is (more generalized).

nvidia released it AFTER 3dmark vantage was out, so in a discussion about the effectiveness of their architecture in vantage, yes i think its quite fine to talk about the fermi architecture and how its a step back from their last generation for this single benchmark that you pointed out.

I think you're mistaken. I wasn't discussing Vantage at all. I was referring to the reasons behind the 3dmark11 delay and the dynamics of the whole thing. In any case I don't see why you consider Fermi a step back in Vantage.

Looks like it is reporting the stock speed, perhaps it isn't measuring CPU speed at all, just performing a look up.

Perhaps my opinion will incur the wrath of some of you but I am not impressed. Also, considering the advertising in the benchmark the advanced version should be free.

Overall meh, I have seen many scene demos that are graphically superior and far more entertaining than this. It has to be one of the most boring and uninspiring graphics benchmarks I have ever seen.

In addition if you block it from accessing Future Mark servers one does not get a result... Double fail.

So can you not see a score at all without having Internet access? If so, this is not the smartest move ever...

    2x HD5870 @ 1000/1200
    i5-750 @ 4000

    ~
    GT1-3 50 to 65fps....
    Test 4; 20 to 30....
    Test 5, just around 20fps /PhysX
    Test 6; 9-25.5 FPS (Combined)

From what I measured by eye, as no score is given, it is not impacted by graphics settings in drivers, however, it is impacted by restarting config..

Mine crashes on both physics tests with the specs in the sig. Previous 3DMarks run, PC is stable, etc.

I took my infos from what was displayed on screen.

If 3D mark 11 is DENIED internet access there is:
No option to save - greyed out
No results whatsoever displayed after bench finished.

I presume you have the advanced edition and know for a fact that there is no advertising for MSI or Antec in that edition or are you just guessing?
