Unlock voltage and fan speeds 30%-100%
You can msn send BIOS to me friend
If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right.
Can we flash any 580 with Asus Bios or better to mod your own?

Guys I flashed my galaxy with the Asus bios, now it passes benchies at 950 BUT it scores highest at stock clocks, each time I bump the gpu clocks up the score drops:
So, what does that mean?I was testing 3D06 and I found that my score is highest at stock clocks and drops as I overclock it (more so SM2.0 but overall impact too), as follows:
3800 782/1564/2004 27880 (10470-13598-7880)
3800 800/1600/2004 28045 (10277-13972-7880)
3800 820/1640/2004 27548 (9717-14003-7862)
I tried a cpu overclock in case of a limitation showing and got the same trend, just a higher score:
4500 782/1564/2004 32443 (12267-15690-9231)
4500 800/1600/2004 32208 (12021-15655-9262)

nice threads...........
nice vern !! thx 4 the calibre
guys, i've got a 580 evga, with max voltage 1.150, is it safe to mod his bios to go more than 1.150 voltage?
backup your bios with cpu-z
make a second copy of the bios just for trust..
download nibitor 6.1
http://www.softpedia.com/dyn-postdow...p=4977&t=4&i=1
change the name of the bios from: GF110.bin to GF110.rom
open the bios with nibitor and go to fermi voltage editor...
in upper tab you can choose the max voltage..
save the bios end flash it...
k mate, but is that safe? i mean pushing the voltage 1.20, not for 24/7 use but just for benchmarks ....
ok ... well i'd never did a bios operation on vga before... i hope to not mess out my vga..... :| i'm a little bit scared to do this....
Safe is what your card was shipped with. Modifying BIOS and voltages is not safe, but the risk of stuffing up the flash itself is minimal and if you had to you could blind flash it to recover it.
Raising vgpu above the manufacturer settings again is not safe, it's a sliding scale of risk the higher you go with the voltage, but people have been running these cards pretty hard and you don't see many failing. Some guys have been up to 1.3-1.4v short term on water and the cards still appear fine. Just be careful and use common sense.

The card might not even like the added voltage with stock cooler..i have an evga 580 that black screens anything over 1.18v
keep it cold and it should be ok thuo.

Guys, how do I get past the 1.213v limit? is there an Asus bios here to allow me to use smart doctor? Or any unlocked one to get higher than 1.213?
I have a bios here named asus.rom and it still doesnt detect as an asus, the nvflash data looks exactly the same as the cs bios it had before, both about 81k. I have massman's asus CS bios but its much larger at 128k, is this right?
