Does the EVGA SR-2 works fine with HX1000 corsair PSU?

i want to built a

dual E5520 (80watt each) overclock them to 3Ghz or little bit more
one GPU 6870
12GB ram
and 8 SSD's

is it possible to work??

I've been using a HX1000 before switching to AX1200 for a good while, and it was doing good.

HX1000 will work for sure if you don't have too many GPU, but those cost almost the same now, If you haven't bought yet, you may want to look at AX1200 too.

i want to use only one GPU and that will be 6870
but i want to oc my CPU (low watt cpus 160watt total @ stock settings)

You will be fine then.

I've been running 2 x X5650 @3.8GHz + GTX295, and HX1000 didn't cause any instability, or made any noise or other complains.
