    Nvidia has finally released the revision to their previous flagship card, the GTX 480...in this case the EVGA GTX 580, and I am privileged to do this unboxing for you.

    Very nice unboxing - I have to admit that 480's heatpipes kinda grew on me, too...

    The review is gonna be a bit delayed...like an idiot I completely bricked both cards with a bad BIOS flash.
    I thought it was impossible to do if one had a spare card handy, but it happened to me.
    Be careful, or just plain do not flash the BIOS if it is not recommended.

    Yeah apparently they're gonna try and revive them.
    Nobody there has ever heard of a card not being able to be re-flashed.
    They're toast...not even visible under nvflash --list

    Any update on your cards, sirjamesd? I didn't see anything on the evga threads...or maybe I didn't look hard enough.

    That sucks about the bios flash hopefully they are still covered under warranty.
